  1. lol, can't remember where I got it but I've been waiting to use it for ages! Trust IndianZX to give me the chance!! Dave
  2. Must be getting soft! thought it was all bringing the tone of the site down though. Had someone at the trackday ask me about how friendly people were on the site, I said it was great but they'd heard otherwise. I've spent the afternoon taking my brakes off and getting them ready for the r34 ones, couldn't find a big enough drill bit though and had to put it back together again! Feel quite subdued now! Thanks to neil for the cone bit, it wasn't deep enough by even half though mate, gonna try to find a place to buy one tomorrow. On the up side though, I've taken pictures so might make an FAQ for any others doing it. Theres a few interesting bits to deal with. The disc shields have to be either cut and bent flat or removed (too much hassle ) plus I'll be drilling the holes when I get the bit. Dave
  3. Remove your engine and attach hamster wheel as shown. Leave for three days (feed once a day) and then plonk it back in car. Remember to remove hamster when you put it into car. Its a pretty important bit of work the cam-belt change so fair dos for asking the question, and also for absorbing all the shit flying your way, from myself included! Think you should give up getting involved with boy racers and dogging in car parks myself, and maybe start reading a few books or websites or something to learn more about the Zed. Then maybe give a trackday a go or some advanced driving lessons, it will give you a new found respect for the car and show you where you are really at with your driving skills (probably not that high seeing as you are only 19). That way you won't have to crash it to learn to listen to it. Then you can build from there, its a much better place to be than maxpower chav land. You just have to come at things from a better angle, realise what you are dealing with. Dave
  4. It would be good to see a load of zeds on track together, i was the only Zed at Castle Combe that day. I guess a lot of owners tend to treasure their Zed and don't want to risk trashing it on a track. I certainly treasure mine, but also believe that it should be driven the way it was designed to be driven. It's a hard performance car, not an aston martin. I'd be up for another one, although I am considering saving some cash and making my other car a 200sx that I can thrash a bit more and try some drifting in. UJCC are talking about organising an airfield day for this sort of thing, and I don't think I want to put the Zed through that. Dave
  5. This is me and the missus, we'll be there! Dave
  6. Hope it's all going well mate. At least you've got 'pill googles' on for looking at the nurses! Dave
  7. Hi, I'll meet up with you at the shell at 12 as well. Is it easy to find on a map? Dave
  8. Would do ,but I'm on dial up!   Just as long as they are still there in a couple of weeks when I go back to work. Dave
  9. I'm addicted now bud! Can't wait to do the next one, once the brembos are on there. Stresses the car hard though. Need to give it some loving for a few weeks! took an hour of fast road driving before the stock breaks cooled back to normal, and my discs are a bit glazed now. Dave
  10. Wow, bet your missus hates you. Think mines gonna leave me due to the addictive powers of the forum.
  11. Yep the pine tree is my g-force indicator. It has different modes for forward and side ways g-force! If you are ever up near the track let me know as I live in Badminton about 8miles away also. Not sure when I'm down in Cornwall next probably after my summer leave. I'd highly recomend it, a real worthwhile experience even if you only went once. I want to do the nurburgring now! Dave
  12. Sorry to keep bumping this up but I'm getting more phots from peeps on UJCC. Here's one showing how close I was after spinning while coming out of Quarry corner. I really thought I was going to total the car, my heart was beating double! Dave
  13. rubbish! My missus's phone has a loud speaker to play her mp3's on. Its got a volume control and a headphone socket. Dave
  14. That would be cool mate. Don't go to any trouble though as I'll have broadband in a couple of weeks again. Pm'd the address. Dave
  15. Here's another that someone took. Dave
  16. c'mon guys , he needs maximum airflow for that greedy six litre supercharged engine!
  17. ball oxs. I've only got dial up here. would love to see them as well. Dave
  18. Wtf?! Sorry Nelson, nothing personal with you but this is just p**sing me off. Why don't you go and join a speaker forum and stick to Zeds on here. I enjoy speaking to people about there outside interests, its what makes this board more interesting and personal than the others. But all you're doing is giving it the salesman drivel, talking about things you don't really understand (unless maybe you are an acoustics engineering degree or something). Its like chavs who drive novas at 60mph talking about the pros and cons of ferrari brake systems; all they know is what they've read from the sales pitch or in magazines. Sorry bud but please take it elsewhere. Dave
  19. I do a lot of late night long distance motorway driving so must admit I do 'test it' reguarly, I've got a whole new outlook now after the trackday. All you have to do to go fast in a straight line is put your foot down, I love the feeling, but its not driving skill.
