  3. Update so had the car out today and got all the fluids changed The trans oil looked like it had never been changed it was rotten - so got that sorted with brand new oil and the gear box seems much sweeter now Then on to the engine took the stop plug out and about half a litre of oiled drained out thats how bad this car had been looked after and no wonder she was over heating. 5ltrs of castrol magnatec soon sorted that and she now sounds sweet as ever - topped of with a new oil filter and the old girl just seems so much better no more smoke and no over heating issuse - next up is the water pump and belts doing a 120k service and sorting a new rad and oil cooler then i hope i can start modding the engine. Oh and my hands are well and truley done in but its worth it.

  7. Its worth it, ive never been more pleased with a car then i am with this one even though its cutting me to shreads and shes gonna cost me more then a new car to get how i want but then new cars are all the same bloody sqaure boxes with diff badges on and no charecter. My daily driver is a bmw 1 series msport convertible and its just the same as every other bloody bmw on the road. I dont see any 300s round here at all and even the police today stopped off and was amazed at the car even helped me get the rad hoses off

  9. Forgot to mention ive managed to take 3 nails of my fingers sliced the side of my thumb and got a bruise the size of a golf ball on my hip thanks to the car lol dident realise how hard some of these bits are to remove
  10. Ok so update i cleaned the engine bay now it looks decent and thought id have a look at this over heat issuse since the sun was out - so disconnected the pipes and run a hose and some nice clean water through her the crap that come out was horid like brown much and some black sludge and even some leaves belive it or not. Buttoned her back up and filled the rad back up and ran her for about 45 mins and wow the temo gauge went to the middle after about 10 mins and just stayed there no movement at all even when i reved it for abit. The thing is when i checked the rad before clenaing there was no water at all in the system and i think the pref owner was running it with no water hence the overheating im hoping thats solved it as theres no water leak and the temo stays nice and firm in the middle. Also took the rear spoiler off as that was rotten and found 2 little rust spots i know have to fix. One thing that is worrying me is when shes idle she sits nice but when i rev her up abit white smoke comes from the exhaust and quite alot of it there no blue in it and it goes when i let her idle not sure what that could be
  11. yes sir but its abit crazy for these roads it tore the tarmac up in the garage the other day

  20. thing is mark im really new to jap cars and engines etc im used to big old yankos so im not even sure tbh but it seems the whole thing was very badly maintained i think the water pumps gone it overheats so not sure if the headcasket is gone the fuel pump is make a crazy arse noise the viscous fan i knackered i think the rad is full of crap its been say for 5 years before i got her so i sure all the sensors are corroded it will prob need all new pipework just seems like alot of money to put in and its done 115k miles so seems alot of money to put in when i could prob get a newer engine i mean i dont mind the hard work just dont wanna throw good money after bad you know im lucky that the bosy work is perfect not a dent or scratch on it just the paint thats messed up and it seems rust free underneath none at all - anyways im gonna bring her to the santa pod show and maybe you can all take a look at her and give me some better advice - - - Updated - - - dam auto correct makes me mad lol
  21. would it be better to just save for a few months and try and source a nice low mileage tt engine for my car as the engine i have seems to have alot of problems - also does anyone know were i could source a tt auto engine for a uk spec car as i just wanna get an idea of price etc - the turbos are good on my car so i could reuse them but the rest of it i think is on its way out.
  22. 6 years its been sat idle the sqeeking goes mad when i pull away then stops when i slow down to a halt but if i start the car the sqeek is there then goes away till i move any idea on what the heck that is
