mobile recommendations
Of the phones available at the moment I would buy one of these: Just a smart looking phone, Motorola RazerV3 or Nokia 8850. Gadget phone, Sony Ericsson K800i or K850i If you can wait a couple of months for a gadget phone the Nokia N91 has an awesome spec and it's what I am holding out for  !

Handbrake handle diameter
Hi, does anyone know off-hand what the diameter for the handbrake is when the cover is off? I had a hunt round and found THIS nugget on removing the stock one and as I have lost my verniers and frankly can't be arsed to strip it until I have to, all help would be most welcome :hyper: Alternatively has anyone tried fitting one of THESE? Typically enough it's the ones I like that look as if they might be too small :(

Which Laptop??
I didn't like the look of it so after doing a hell of a lot of checking up built my dad a ST20G5, needed a minor upping in voltage on the northbridge but that aside it seems to be a good one  Boot to safe mode to rip out the motherboard drivers, clean up the registry and hope for the best is how I normally do it. Failing that and a big enough HDD to put all me porn on while I reformat the OS drive I use partition magic and make a 10-20gb partition, put the new OS in the new partition and manually delete the old one from what is now storage space.

Which Laptop??
If you do buy a SFF PC make sure you read up on them especially if it's a Shittle er I mean Shuttle! A good place to get a laptop can be Lidls on occasion, a friend got one form there for £800 but it's as and when they have the offer on I'd guess that the laptop would be faster at most things other than games, and I'm only saying it's potentially slower in games because I am assuming you have a better graphics card in the desktop. The main reason it feels slower in is the hard drive in it is slower than the desktops due to power/heat/size restrictions. I think you have got bigger problems than your CPU, try a format!

Meets
What for? It's not great driving round here I live just down the road (10 mins) and of the two other Zed owners I know of in the area one has his garaged for the winter and the other (Heard about him when Timpson cut my Nismo blank) isn't a member? I know I haven't been to any meets yet but that's because my Zed has been incapacitated for long periods of my short ownership. :( Nothing to do with distance. or fear of Si asking me the most surreal questions about my toilet habits  This sounds like a good idea to me, a day out and I can't remember the road number but there is an awesome stretch of sweeping bends between Frome and The A303 I managed to have a scream on in a pug 307 TD. Not the most direct route but certainly the sort of thing I am hoping to enjoy in my now *crosses fingers* healthy Zed! I have to go to Frome on Monday so hopefully I can find more details for those from the North of the catchment area! All you in the South would still have to suffer the Honiton to Blackdown hills stretch of the A303 though :nelson:

Zed (seats) on Scrapheap Challenge?
I know it's a bloody awful picture and it's not helped by the way they have painted the seats, but it's all I could find online. The only bits you really see on the show are the headrests (again with those buggers talking in the way  ) so I couldn't really work it out from the brief bit I saw.

Zed (seats) on Scrapheap Challenge?
Admitedly it's been a while since I have seen mine but I was watching Scrapheap Challenge and thought the seats looked familiar. Were they common seats on other Nissans or is there a seatless Zed lurking in the 'yard? Here's a pic of a camera crew filming the seats, someone just needs to shift those two geezers having a chat so we can make them out better!

Any Westerners/Southerners going to West Fest?
Haha I used to go there about 10 years ago when Sketch were at the Cheese Pavillion! Happy blurry times :mac1: :nelson:  Won't be there this time I am working Saturday but thanks for the tip that it's on though! I'll be taking a different route home now, too many gurners trying to decide which is there arse and which is their elbow is never good for road safety

Samsung D600
http://www.mobile-review.com/review/samsung-d600-en.shtml That's a good review! Looks like a nice bit of kit, the only thing it's wanting from it is the 4GB hdd that the Nokia n91 has. Personally I'm waiting for an excuse to put my iPod on fleabay but if you don't need something with that functionaliity the Nokia offers the Samsung is a winner impo

who would drive a pc like this?
A couple of my old PCs, always had a case of bigger number syndrome :wack: I used to do the equivilant to dyno or 1/4mile runs on them, all the rectangular things are for cooling them. If you look on the second pic you can make out -47.0*c against 22.7*c ambient.
