When cold the car sometimes starts off idling at 2k which I'd say ain't normal, so when you change gear at low revs the revs jump up when you press the clutch.....goes away after a few mins. Any ideas guys? Ta.

I use magnatec 10/40 in my TT and it has been used on this for many years by me and previous owners and car runs like a dream.

The front N/S suspension sounds very creaky at the top, it almost sounds like it's the dashboard that's making the noise, car still handles fine though. Any ideas guys?

Is this common at all, jsut noticed carpet a tiny bit wet and went I jacked it up and looked there is a little rust at the bracket for the seat, easy to fix, just wondering if anyone else has seen this?

That's the very car mate. It had a new clutch ar around 50k or jsut before that and has 60k miles now. My only worry is that the owner was delighted with the car 3 weeks ago and wouldn't sell but is now very happy to sell for a reduced price. Makes me wary but I do know the guy is genuine from other forums and does have cash to play with so isn't bothered about losing a few quid but still getting a lil worried.

Lo again guys, the car I'm looking at had one of these 8k miles ago, been browsing the forums and seena few of these apparently failing after low mileage. Is there a known issue with them or is it most likely down to abuse? Cheers.

I'm going to see the car on Monday, it got imported in 2000 and has a full history over here since then and stacks full of reciepts for servicing etc, also just had a new clutch, water pump, thermostat, and discs/pads as well as the full 60k service. Hope it goes as well as it looks.

Damn that's quite a few have said 60kish since I've been asking around, that's a worry as 2 x turbo rebuild not cheap when it's an engine out job.

Hi guys, just joined up here :) Looking at getting a 300zx as you can probably guess. Been reading up on them but can't get a rough mileage on when the turbos are likely to fail from anyone. Car i'm interested in has 60,500 miles and was imported in 2000, has a full history over here but from owning turbo'd cars in the past I know they can be flaky. Cheers, Daz.
