Does this mean all this talk about inacurate temp readings is because of the stock temp gauge and not the engine temp sensor? I'm installing mine tommorow and the easier the better, but I'd prefer more acurate results if it ment using the supplied temp sensor.

I know it's a long shot but try and wiggle the connections on either side of the ptu and see if it starts, or pull them off and clean the corrosion, if any. That's what helped me. If not then it's probably knackered which I think would show on the ecu test.

I have no idea, but I also wonder if that's a cheap alternative to proper decatting with similar results and if it has different effect on the ol' turbo seals.

I ment if one is not working the otherone still makes noise so it would be pretty hard to tell as they're quite close to eachother perhaps?

He said I would have to get it booked in so they could check where the problem is and then they would tell me how much it would cost to be repaired before they start working on it. But they charged me £20 for putting the gas in and figuring out there was a problem :rolleyes: TBH it looked like a new and tidy place and the guy seemed to know his way around a zx :shock:

Went to see a specialist today (alpinair.co.uk) and they were ready to refill the system (which used R12 gas) with R134 gas for £84 :cool: And I (twice) made sure they were aware of that fact which gas it used, but they claimed that would not have been an issue. SO anyway it turns out there was a fukin blockage and/or a leak in the system so I cant say it went without problems but if that was the case then that's a bit cheap compared to the prices I've seen in previous related threads. Good deal, I would have thought.

It always starts the second or third time with help of pressing the gas pedal, what should I check first, any ideas? The best way I can describe it, it feels like the air filter is blocked, or it's coughing up first two times untli it starts, almost like a lazy fuel pump....
