UK OEM Wheel and tyre size
Not a lot left of them, and looking to get a new set for this season, once I take car out of winter storage.

UK OEM Wheel and tyre size
From memory the Michelin's have been on car for about 7 years. The production date is 2008 from memory, as I know they were 'a few years' when I got them at a good price. Think you can find Pirelli P Zero Rosso as well in 245/45-16.

UK OEM Wheel and tyre size
I have Michelin's (245/45-16) at the back, which have been on car some years now. Believe you can still occasionally get them, but at a price.

Injector #5 - Dremel ?
Thanks!

Injector #5 - Dremel ?
I believe that it is viable to swap injector #5 (rear right hand) using dremel method, but would be good to know if anyone have done it successfully. Have changed #3 and #4 before, which worked well, but seem to be a good bit to machine out for injector #5. Need to get a replacement into car, as it is acting up frequently (cylinder will not fire when hot under bonnet- and ohm meter show that it is gone bad as well). Hope to avoid lifting plenum.

Still rough after injector change
To see if you have O2-sensor problems, you can just disconnect them and see if it run better.

Where to buy new O2 sensors?
I replaced both upstream O2 sensors last year, and got Bosch sensors. I would avoid getting non-branded sensor's that may not last well. I bought the Bosch sensor's from RockAuto.com and they where not expensive. Paid around €30 each + shipping (and I managed to avoid import charges when brought into Ireland .....)

injectors
Measure the resistance on the injector. Should be between 10 - 14 ohm (from memory), and if they are not within this or close to, then they will need replacing. When I had injectors going bad in the past, they have been way out on the ohm reading.

Gearbox issues
Went to garage and had a look at a bottle of MT90 I have and sticker on bottle says: "Red Line MT-90 is a fully synthetic ester-based lubricant ......."

26mm brakes...
You most likely have the original calipers. My 93NA (early Series 2) had 26mm discs, which I years ago swapped for 30mm set-up. I say MJP (trader here) would have 26mm discs available, and you can also get them from US (e.g from czp.us - but shipping could get quite steep - heavy items).

Brake problem
Does not sound exactly the same as an issue I had a while back, but maybe related, so here you go. What I had was a break pedal that got 'soft' when pressing for a while (when e.g. standing at a traffic light). This would however only happen if I had been in slow traffic / traffic jam and temperature increased under bonnet. Changed fluid several times, but this did not help. Had no visible leak or loss of fluid (that was noticeable at least), but in the end I decided to replaced all BMC seals, which sorted the problem.

n/a brake discs z32
My early Series 2 NA (produced Q4 1992 - registered in 1993) also had 26mm discs. Changed about 10 years ago for TT set-up.

rear shocks how much?
Sachs usually makes 'good stuff' from my own experience. Believe that they are OEM for some BMW models (incl M3), and I would see their quality as being very good. How good their Z32 damper is, I would not know, but I would consider .... and my order from Rockauto (two O2 sensors) a few weeks ago got through customs nicely .....

Air con Re gas
As mentioned the R12 and R134a connectors are different. I got mine changed over years ago (10+), and also got adapters via eBay at the time. It is push fit for R134a.

rear shocks how much?
OEM seem to have gone up in price, but you can get Sachs from Rockauto.com for €55 - €60 (about £50 each) - shipping will however cost you a bit, and then you may have import charges (which in Ireland I usually do not get hit by ). Was checking prices as I recently fitted a pair of KYB's that I bought years ago (needed fronts then - but bought a set of 4 - only recently changed rears).

another windscreen question
I dropped a line to Pilkington to see what they supply (as I am most likely going to take screen out to sort a bit of rust that is coming up at a spot around screen atthe end of season - and then consider to change screen). What they reverted back to me was that the following is available for the Z32 (price is what they quoted me a few days ago and is excl VAT and for pickup at one of their depots - delivery for additional charge). Code Tint Price (£) excl VAT 5982ABL Blue £240.69 5982ABLBL Blue with blue shade band £246.41 5982ABZ Bronze £242.07 5982ABZBL Bronze with blue shade band £266.44 5982ABZGN Bronze with green shade band £313.80 5982AGNBL Green with blue shade band £249.20 Leadtimes indicated as being 4 - 6 weeks, and glass made to order.

Climate control blows hot constantly.
Had a bit of similar issue when I years ago got car. AC (cooling) did not work at the time (got it sorted later), but air was still much hotter then it should have been even without cooling (AC). My issue was that some friendly previous owner (or dealer) had removed the whole 'cabin temp senor unit' (the one with the little fan built in - just by the interior mirror). Found it when I did AC diagnostic and cabin temp was indicated as -99 or something like that. So climate control decided to keep trying to give more hot air due to the 'arctic climate it picked up from the missing sensor.... Got a 2nd hand sensor unit, and reasonably cold air started to come through. It made a 'big difference'. If you have Auto Climate - run a AC diagnostic, and see what comes up. May give you a hint what you need to look for. e cabin temp sensor'

So Bloody Annoying!!!
Maybe check the AC belt tension pulley. Quite some year ago mine went, and it initially started as a 'occasionally loud squeal' (for a short while - then it was fine again). Happened more and more frequent until it gave up completely (seized - bearing internals in bits). It was intermittently not spinning, and then gave a very loud and awful sequel. From memory, car had about 105-110.000 km at the time. Have recently replaced again as 'preventive maintenance', since it is about 90.000km ago when it gave up.

another windscreen question
I think we met a some years ago. You had a red UK TT then? I am likely to be heading over to Terenure on Sunday, but not 100% sure yet.

another windscreen question
Blue interior. The car is an 'early Series 2 car' from what I understand. I e.g. had the 'old PTU' (replaced years ago - as it packed up as anticipated), but I have front seat belts in pillar (not in door). The car also has aluminium bake calipers (not cast iron). I believe that the production date is sometime Q4 1992, but car first registered in 1993 (and here in Ireland carry a 93-plate).

another windscreen question
I have a Sapphire Blue (TK3) 93 JDM, and my glass is all bronze tint. Was a pain when I years ago had a vandal damaging a side screen, and insurance was about to replace with blue tint glass (that would not match). Sourced glass myself (that insurance agreed to pay for), but if you use insurance company, make sure that they will do not just point to a glass company that will put in the wrong tint. Double check what they will supply.

soft brake pedal after bleeding
Had a soft brake pedal a while back, and this especially when it was warm / hot under the bonnet. Could not see any visible leaks and did not loose any fluid. I changed fluid, and do not now how many times I bleed the system, and nothing helped. I then changed the seals in the BMC, and that sorted the problem. Pedal got nice and firm again.

Misfire - low revs - light accelerator - injector ?
Thanks for info. That is good to know. Probably leave it until after the summer season then.
-
Misfire - low revs - light accelerator - injector ?
Disconnected the O2 sensor this evening, and misfire is gone. Car drive the way it used to, so will look at getting new sensors ordered / arranged. Believe that Bosch was the supplier to Nissan, and that sensor 13091 would be the 'correct' fit. From what I understand there is no risk for damage to drive car with O2 sensor disconnected for a shorter period.

Misfire - low revs - light accelerator - injector ?
Will try the O2 sensor as soon as I get time in next few days (should probably run a ECU Diagnostic as well - to see if I have any code). Where is the easiest place to disconnect sensor ?
