  1. Well when you was chatting to me and my brother till stupid hours of the morning I said ill be getting back online on the 25th on xbox live!
  2. Yeah sorry fella think i was confusing myself lol, Your bang on, If I can make a silly suggestion while you have the box out though double check the oil seal on the rear of the engine as if you have disturbed it too much it will leak as i found out when I did my conversion and had to pull the box back off to fit a new rear seal. Also make sure the clutch release bearing is changed for a new one, as this can cause some strange noises if worn.
  3. Yeah sorry I should have been clearer I have the box fitted to the back of the pedel which has one line going to the plenum I believe. The hard pipe that runs down the drivers wing in the engine bay with the bleed nipple I have removed and fitted the single long line straight from the master cylinder straight down to the slave cylinder on the gearbox.
  4. yeah it does! it literally goes between the Master cylinder down to the slave, you can delete everything else then, If your using a good standard clutch you wont notice the difference anyway, Its only if you go for an uprated one you will feel it! Saying that my RPS doesnt feel any different using a standard one anyway. just delete the booster stuff makes things so much easier.
  5. Ahh gotcha The Hel line is perfect if your keeping the booster its just they supply the short line as standard, if your bypassing the hardline then the zcentre one does the trick nicely I know myself and groover have these fitted with no probs at all
  6. Wimp lol :whistling::whistling::whistling:
  7. what clutch you going for?? Ive gone single longer line on mine with an RPS Street Max and its fine not to heavy at all, I would get rid of the extra pipework fella
  8. Are you keeping the clutch booster and pipework, if so thats ok as its the short hose. If your going single line straight from master cyl to slave that wont be long enough!! You can get the long hose through Zcentre £20
  9. Mine did it was identical connectors on the auto loom. edit: just re read ignore me your using a manual loom.
  10. depends on the bumper lol, Mine is an off job lol
  11. I hope thats the case, I just wanted to make sure "everyone with a breaker" wasnt tarnished with the same brush so to speak. I have nothing but absolute respect for what Jeff and the family do as the service is second to none!! But if the commitee do a review I just want to make sure the people who buy a breaker for there own needs and then re coup some costs are not frowned upon as "secret traders"
  12. This isnt always the case though, Myself personally I have bought 2 zeds in the past to take the nice bits off them for my own car as it was cheaper buying the whole car then it was to buy the individual parts I wanted! I then sold the rest of the good bits to cover my costs of purchasing the car, I even gave loads of parts away including the shells to people that needed pannels!! I wouldnt class myself as a trader, it just made more financial sense to buy the whole cars then it did the individual parts! I did not make a profit from either car just covered my cost of purchase and took the bits i wanted eg New Engine hybrid tubs Manual conversion etc! So not everyone who breaks cars is a "TRADER" but as everyone knows as complete cars its cheaper to buy if you need alot of parts then it is to buy seperately, I can name at least a dozen people on here now who have bought breakers for their own needs and tried to re coup costs. Without this being taken the wrong way Jeff it sounds like a bit of sour grapes to me! This whole thread could have been sent straight to the commitee as apose to an open thread. I agree you have to protect your business and the very obvious "TRADERS" should pay the correct fee, but everyone feels the pinch in these economic times, so some people will buy breakers. I hope you dont feel this is having a go as thats not the intention, just giving another perspective from someone who has used breakers in the past.
  13. its a pita fella as most of the time its a front bumper off job you have to either oven cook the lights to heat the sealant or sit there forever with a hair drier and prey you dont chip the glass when pulling them apart, remember not to take the sealent out as you can reheat and melt it to reseal it. if your gonna do it id buy a spare set of lights and clean and prep them instead and then just swap them over. Its much easier that way and you can take your time as you will need patience to do this.
  14. the universal gator sold at halfrauds works a treat fella had to use one on mine
  15. shame its not closer to JAE could sell tickets off the stand and do the draw at the end of the sat or sunday
  16. Yes I have the DW full Hicas kit on mine and apart from being a pig to fit due the outer hicas bushes and getting them out, it fits fine and tbh is the best mod ive done so far for handling. so yes no problem with you fitting it at all.
  17. Cant see why not, I would be a little concerned though having them on full extention if you were doing heavy driving, Ive already had a driftworks rear camber arm snap at the rose joint on me before, scared the crap out of me when the wheel collapsed in the arch! Im not sure I would trust that kind of set up tbh?
  18. Sounds like you just need to adjust the tensioner fella.
  19. My brother has exactly the same car picked it up for £400 as a run around for use when taking the dogs out or doing dump runs etc save messing up is £15k 6 series BMW (GIT) lol but he treats it like crap and it keeps on coming great motor as a work horse.
  20. trailer it to zedworld fella, let them worrk there magic.
  21. Personally I think it would be unwise to remove all the weight as you will loose traction! Really comes down to set up? What suspension mods your running? What size wheels and tyres & Pressures? even what brand? obviously the set up for track and road are completely different Its how longs a piece of string really? also depends on your driving style.
  22. Ring your bank and get it refunded, my brother did this a few months ago, checked his balance then just walked away for some dumb ass reason, left his card all logged in, needless to say the person behine helped themselves to £250 off his card. he told the bank and they replaced his card and the money.
