Yep, my dodgy number plate has never caused issues at MOT time.

I got mine from Halfords. Although I failed MOT with it this time round (passed last 2) as it was not bright enough! went back to Halfords and bought an even brighter LED bulb and the tester let it pass. Good luck with MOT mate...

Thanks, that clears it up. I will NOT get caught by the same copper as I was well out of my normal areas when I was caught. The way I see it, I would rather pay a £30 fine and be less likely to be caught by a front facing speed camera. Thanks Nick.

I think I would rather pay the £30! lol. I have spoken to a few coppers about this subject and they have all said that they don't think the DVLA are even informed if a number plate is found to be illegal. What do you think Nick?

Hi mate, The rear one should be fine, it looks like a standard import plate. I used fancyplates.co.uk to make my front one. This is the fan that sucks air into the temp sensor for the climate control. If you pull it down you can fiddle with it/tighten it up so that the noise dissapears...

This mechanic is VERY good at the hands on stuff but is TERRIBLE at time management and has personal problems at the moment. Of course I am not condoning the delays, just adding a little background info...

I am under the impression that only the 2+2 came with cruise control. Don't know where I got this idea from :confused: but can anyone confirm whether or not this is true??? Thanks...

I've owned both but it is hard to compare as I had soft stock suspension on the 2+2 but coilovers on the SWB. IMHO - If you try a good SWB you will never want to go back to a 2+2...
