  1. Ah ok, they always seem to break there. I did have longer screws in mine for a while until I got new ones.
  2. I've got a few on my for sale thread
  3. The past few weeks I've been changing all my suspension arms to SPC, also went back to stock fuca's with the shim kit jimmer kindly installed for me. So today I went to TunedUK for a full alignment. I was really impressed with the place & the guy really knew his stuff, unlike quikfit last time. The car now feels planted to the road & is ready for next weekends meet.
  4. Gray has just sold his merc cls, I'm sure he can give you some advice. Probably tell you never to pass a petrol station without filling up.
  5. Cheapest quote I've got so far is £380 nearly double what i paid last year. 2k miles & garaged. Phoning round more today. I did get a price of £200 from One Call insurance but never heard of them so unsure about using them
  6. Me & the zed have been celebrating
  7. I wouldn't rule out an auto completely, if the car is in great shape then you can always do the conversion at a later stage. Jeff has retired now, speak to jimmer at Powerzed in Bristol, he is the only guy you should take your zed to.
  8. Welcome. Theres a nice red UK zed on Ebay for just under £6k with best offer. It's an auto but well worth the money if it's as good as it looks.
  9. It's my car. It is pretty stock, only the wheels, exhaust, spoiler & tinted rear lights but can be easily swapped.
  10. I will be selling my na swb slicktop, just got a few more jobs to do on it before I list it properly but it's a lovely car, just had a respray, no rust, all the big engine work has been done cam belt etc
  11. Went to a local car show today, weather was good & there was plenty of cars to see. Bumped into another zed so directed them towards the club & also found another one for sale in the car park, looked a bit sorry for itself.
  12. This is just a quick heads up, I'm going to do a full write up over the weekend & get some more pictures but it's time I sold my swb na slicktop manual. £4,750. Info to come.....
  13. I bet Spain was warmer.
  14. I was expecting to see you on the track at japfest.
  15. This was one of the best zed meets I'd ever been to. Great driving roads & scenery. Can't believe more people haven't signed up yet.
  16. Seats now all sorted & working well, apart from the clips for the seat adjustment, I've tried for ages to get them little clips back in to hold the adjustment knobs on, just can't get them on.
  17. So my swapping the base on my seats idea didn't work quite as well as I thought. When I fitted it the seat looked twisted so I took it back out & had a look at the base, it was snapped in two places. So last night I split the base from the back again & took the material & foam off, did the same on my old base & refitted the good material on the old base. Still needs finishing off so fingers crossed this works. One small job turns into a big one as usual.
  18. Happy birthday.
  19. Drove to Stoke this morning to get some seats from a breaker for the slicktop. They are the same ones I've already got so manage to make a set of good ones out of the two sets.
  20. I doubt he had ever changed the coolant in the lwb even though I'd asked him to.
  21. They do look very similar, wonder if theres a connection at all?
  22. Had a great drive out into North Wales this morning to the horse shoe pass. Quick coffee watching all the motor bikes & cars go past in the sunshine away from the kids, then back to reality .
  23. I'm thinking it was as simple as low fluid level. The rad was removed for the respray so coolant topped up when it was replaced, it's the only thing I can think of for it to suddenly start working. Keith told me there was no anti freeze either so I'm pretty sure it was another basic job that's been bodged by our favourite "mechanic"
