Mine does. especially at slow speeds I have tried WD40 on various links and bushes but like you say its an old heavy car so I spose its to be expected? It does me head in sometimes.

TBH Graham I dont have a clue about the combination mate. My friend who is helping and supplying all the stuff got the paint from a local company and yes I can confirm they are compatable. The paint has had its last coat now and looks OK. it does need some hours of flatting and all that. But looking good. I have done this and I can tell you this: If you just change the face then the speedo needle will still be opperating as if it were KPH. the whole unit will have to be a UK item or at least have a converter fitted. (see below) A KPH clock/needle reacts faster than a MPH clock/needle would and therefore it will travel less distance around the face than a MPH one would. Thats why a KPH face has lots more numbers (potentially) than a MPH clock. UNLESS: the new MPH face has been specially made to facilitate/compensate this. So yes it can be done but not a straight swap for any old UK face. HTH. ;)

This is how I am hoping the whole car comes out. There are some bits and bobs that I have done slightly wrong but most will buff out but this bit the rear bumper is compounded and still needs polishing so I am quite chuffed. We will see :o

I dont think they are illegal either as you see those old classic sports cars on rallys with them on and the gumball rally loads of that mob have numbers on the cars.
