I aint taking the piss Bird teaching an old lady how to suck eggs and all but.... If something is tapping then this indicates that some component is hitting another one as it spins. Cams and cranks run in constant contact therefore they dont rattle or tap. This being the case mate stop using the car as the tapping is going to get worst as the striking between the two components is going to wear. the easiest way to locate the noise is to get a largish long screw driver hold the driver end against the engine block and the handle in your ear. as you move the driver around the engine the noise will get louder the nearer the fault you get. once you locate it then you will have more idea what it might be. BUT! dont use the car until you can suss it out mate. you will end up sorry. HTH mate Vince.

They look very USA on that silver Zed. I bought some tint spray for my Volvo lights and was advised against its use? I tried it on an old lense and to be totally honest it works fine. its been outside for 4 months in the garden and I have polished it twice to see how it wears and its not faded at all. So you could try it? Dont buy cheap tho.

Bought myself an Air compressor and spray outfit yesterday. Got some other bits and bobs too and going to get some air tools next. looking forward to a bit more DiY on the 300. so far I am halfway through the rear end and the front is next. I have learned how to fabricate a couple of fibreglass add ons and the side skirts are going to be shapechanging soon. Its a great way to learn in at the deep end. :eek: ;)
