Hi everyone!! Is there any chance anyone would have a drivers side door for a SWB 1990 Zed as i have badly wrecked mine :mac1: Thought they were the same as the 2+2 but i was wrong and they seem to be very hard to source!! Would pay good money!! :bow: Cheers!!

But it starts to roar only about 5 mins from cold! and its quite loud!

Hi guys!! Been doin some research on these fans and from the search above and from what ive learnt, you shouldnt be able to hear the fan spin when drivin the only time you seem to be able to hear it is from starting from her from cold you will hear it whirr for about 10 seconds then the fan will go silent again. This happins on my Zed but when she gets warm you can start to hear the vicous fan revving with the engine in a whirring noise, sounds a bit lke a huge hair dryer or a landrover!! And from what ive been told you should never to be able to hear the fan spinnin! Anyway is this a coupling prob or is it the fans clutch? Or are these the same thing? If so any ideas on fittin and price!! Any views and i would be very grateful!! :bow: :bow:

Just wondering how much BHP can a stock Zed take as far as pistons and gaskets etc are concerned? ie how much boost!! Just for future preference :D !! Cheers!!

Arite gentlemen!! Had a thread a month ago for a new intake camshaft pulley well second hand, 550 from Nissan new :shock: !! This is what i thought i needed to stop my oil leak which was comin from underneath the cambelt covers, ive replaced the camseals and there seems to be no leak comin from the gasket for the plenium the only thing i havnt replaced is the little o-rings at the front of the intake pulleys :smash: As anyone had simliar probs, any suggestions PLEASE!! Heard that old PVC valves can build up pressure inside the engine could this be a factor or am i reachin!! Due to replace them ASAP!!

Thanx ill give that a go too, off 2morrow so might as well throw on some old cloths open the lid on my Zed and to some cleanin!! :hyper:

Good point i had just washed her hopefully the reason! How much and where could i get a series 2 PTU and does it fit directly on?

Rite guys!! Zed was runnin fine, went up to my mates house to stick a coat poolish on her, after which i thought id go for a drive as u do :D !! But to my suprise she failed to start she turned over strongly but wouldnt catch so i give the PTU a wiggle and it started on my second atempt not sure weather this was a fluke or is it the early stages of my PTU on its way to a better place! Any ideas would be appreciated :hyper: !!!

Rite lads!! This is a contiuation of a earlier thread! As u can c from all the threads ive left every where im desperate!! :( So if anyone can help its beers on me :duffer: My leftside camshaft intake pulley is leakin but its not from the front where the spring and o-ring is this area is dry and its not the cam seals these are also dry but the leak is comin from the rear of the pulley itself, the side that faces the head! Any ideas!! :headvswal Is there a way to stop the leak or do i need a new pulley!!(NOT CHEAP) :( Thanks Andy.

Hi everyone!! Im really hopin someone comes through on this one for me so here goes!! I have oil leakin onto my cambelt, and when i told my local mechanic he first thought it was my cam seals, so happy days got these from Nissan for 20 notes, left in my Zed to be repaired, later to get a phone call tellin me that it was not my seals but my camshaft intake pulley, yet again off to nissan with my fingers crossed, s#*t load of good it did me, got a price of 550 quid :shock: :hurl: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So i was hopin one of u guys would have a good idea where to get one from at a cheaper price or even a second hand one!! Or even a second opion on the above cause i know u all know ur stuff when it comes to these machines :bow: :bow: !!!!!! Cheers Andy!!

Hi people!! Bit off a odd question but i hate havin loose pedals at my feet! On mine when u push the clutch the first two inches it feels very flappy for a lack of a better word, but the rest of the travel is fine! She does have 89k on her, is there any way of making it more firm for those first two inches!! Cheers guys!!!!! :)

Arite guys!! Its come to that time where my import red zed needs a respray due to bein 50 diff shades of red :( Ive started to prep her and want to remove the two small roof strips between the boot and the targa roof also want to remove the same strip but the one that runs along side the front windscreen! They seem to move when pushed but i dont to force them to hard incase they break off! Does anyone know how to take these off and if not where i could purchase replacements!! Cheers, Andy

I had a thread last week on my cooling fan, and from the sound advice from other members it sounds like my coupling is on its way out, cause while drivin when at workin temp and then accelerating u can hear the fan over the note of the engine!! :confused: Would this be the coupling if so how much?? Cheers lads!! (And Girls)!! lol :D

Hi guys!! My cooling fan on my Zed is always on, it spins when i start her up and then stops until she is at workin temp and then starts again and increases in speed when reving :confused: It makes her sound like a landrover or something!! To be honest the sound does'nt bother me but just wanted to know wether it was normal or not? I know that these machines run at very high temp and that she is an import maybe something to do with it!! :headvswal

Thanks i tried admiral and they quoted me which was good but it will cost me 2100quid fully comp(OUCH)!! I might be forced into payin!! At least someone will quote me!
