  1. Its deffo not comin from the crank seal had this replaced and all the belts are dry!! :headvswal
  2. Yes ive done this with the paper and to be honest when i put the pulley on (this is the third pulley ive had on) it didnt leak at first sittin at tick over but when i took her for a drive there it was a line of oil on the inside of the bonnet directly in line with the rear of the pulley :headvswal , ive now taken this pulley off and it has now got the same syptoms as the rest of the pulleys which have started to leak, as in u can turn the centre part of pulley within itself that whats causing the prob but i dont know how, just need to find some guru that does, if it wasnt for this site bein able to least talk about it, i wouldnt prob down in the bar with litre bottle of vod in front of me!!!
  3. Yeah it is, its deffo not that, the line of oil on the bonnet is directly in line with the back of the pulley, which is why i thought it would be the seal but its dry must be comin from the pulley itself, as i said everytime its starts to leak u can turn the centre of the pulley within itself when u have it off and in ur hands!!
  4. Its deffo comin from the front cause i have cam covers off and u can see a line of oil on the inside of the bonnet!!
  5. Hi all, Rite here goes, ive had a leak comin from my passenger intake pulley, at first we put it down to a cam seal but later found out by trail and error that it's leakin from the pulley itself, i know this cause the cam seal is bone dry and its the third pulley ive had on!! :headvswal Heres the interesting bit each pulley that has started to leak, when u have it off and in ur both ur hands ur able to turn it, as in the centre of the pulley can turn within itself, so diff to explain without actually seein it, but before i put them on they were solid u couldnt turn the centre of them!! So my question is how in the name of fryer r they doin this!?! Its almost as tho when the belt turns the pulleys that there is a resistance at the cam causing it to do this!! Really hope one of u guys comes through on this cause i cant keep on drivin her like this, and the amount of money ive already throwin at the car, i really dont want to let her go, cause they r such a joy to drive when they go!!! Cheers Andy. :)
  6. Yo all, What size is the belt for the power steering pump!?! Didnt tighten mine enough and i lost it down a B road, near s@%t meself when i tried to steer into a corner!! Cheers. :)
  7. Hi Gents :) Hope someone can throw some light my way, just got my two recon tubbs uprated with 360 bearings and a step gap seal, put these on the engine and dropped the lump back in a couple of days ago. Primed the tubbs, then started her, let her tick over for 5 mins to warm up, when i turned her off i got back under car and looked up and noticed that the passenger side tubb was very slightly leakin oil, from where the centre housing meets the exhaust housing, i checked the oil feed and return and both dry, even rang the people who did them for me and they couldnt under why!! They said if it was leakin there it would be gettin into the exhaust housing causing everyones fav blue smoke!! But there was no smoke at all!! :headvswal Any ideas!?!?! Cheers Andy :)
  8. Thanks for the info as usuall gentlemen!!

I put a volt meter to the connection on the drivers door and it is clearly gettin no power, am i missing something simple or wa!! Any help as usuall greatly appreciated!! Andy. :)

  13. I had the exact same prob, had me well beat had the whole fuse box out and noticed that the relay that controls all these systems had fallin out?!?!? Dont ask me how!! Only prob is your best to take the fuse box out,its a bit awkward to get too and disconnecting all the plugs that go into the fuse box is great fun  !! But once it is out you will see some relays on the back of the fuse box there should be two blue relays, (not sure if there is any diff between UK, JAP spec) the relay that referrs to these systems is the one labeled ACC, not saying this is the prob but if all your wires and fuses seem fine, well it sorted mine, and dare say saved me a few pennies!!! :) Good luck buddy :)
