Autobox Cooler Fitment
My laziness has got me in a bit of a predicament..well, that and watching the World Cup instead of doing the job myself :( I purchased an autobox cooler rad mod kit from the Z Centre and took it along to my local garage with all the instructions blah blah.Everything seemed ok and indeed Ive run the car for a couple of weeks now. Today I decided to have a peek at the rad whilst messin under the bonnet and it seems that the guy at the garage has removed the old engine oil cooler rad completely and has run the engine oil through the old autobox cooler in the main radiator core  .Question? how will this affect the car, will the engine oil cool sufficiently and if not what symptoms am I likely to see. Thx for any help you can offer.

Yeah, a sticky lifter, you could try an oil change with a good quality oil. I had a similar problem with mine although not as bad as yours and now its quiet from start up! Do a search for recommended oils theres quite a few threads.

cutting out when slowing to a junction
IAAV ? A real pain in the arse to do too, right on the nearside rear of your engine near the battery. I had a similar problem to yours and in the end it turned out to be the temp sender terminals. I cleaned away the verdigis and now she runs fine.

Auto Gear box
I have a 'spare' auto box complete with torque converter & loom that came out of a Zed that had met a lamppost so assume its ok(never needed to fit it in the end) my problem lay elsewhere.I paid 400 quid for it and Id sell for the same if youre interested. Oh btw I blew my auto box on the M1 last year and cost me big time to sort out, and that was just for a second hand box and fitment!! ( I thought my recurring running fault was this replacement box at the time hence my purchase of the second box) Anyway you have my symapathy mate good luck :) GaiJin

Oh btw Im an old gadger (44) but still a great deal!! GaiJin

revs drops and rises
I had identical problems to yours and mine turned out to be the temp sensor too! Cleaned away the verdigris from the terminals and it worked great! GaiJin

low idle and vacuum problem
My erratic idle turned out to be the temp switch (the one that sends a signal to the ECU). I cleaned the verdigris from the terminals and everything is ok now! Hope this helps...its easy enough to try it and see :) GaiJin
