  1. That's unreal mate, how much did you have it insured for? Fully comp? Mods declared etc?
  2. If it was flashing at double speed it normally means one bulb on that side has blown. Did you check all the bulbs down the drivers side?
  3. Im not certain but think this is the place http://www.driftexperience.co.uk I'll confirm after I speak to her tonight
  4. Did you have a go yourself? The misses, myself and a couple of friends have got a drift day coming up in Milton Keynes, just waiting to find out the date, well excited!
  5. Sorry Mark that wasn't supposed to sound like I was contradicting you, just a reply to the original post
  6. Says on the website 'When SORN has been declared for a vehicle the registered keeper must ensure that it will not be used or kept on a public road until a new licence has been taken out.' https://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/app/sorn?execution=e1s1
  7. I get regular emails from Agent Robert S Mueller claiming im owed all sorts of different numbers of money. I love the title of this one 'Seeking to wire-tap the internet' lol
  8. Anyone know where to get a reverse thread nut and stud of Nissan size?
  9. I'd like to know as well. Any chance you could do a 'how to' step by step thread Rose when you do your next master piece? I've only ever used fibre glass in a roofing application using big rolls.
  10. I've been making a list of insurance companies that give good deals from these sorts which i've copied below: footman james/Graham Sykes/Sky insurance/heritage/swinton/Lynbrook/Houghtons/Broadsure (check 300zx site for club deal)/ http://www.sureterm.com/classic-car-insurance/ .MCE> try them ask for Jason fittes 08443386888 Who with? Im in the same situation but a bit older and my best quote was about £1200 from FJ. Who with? Do you keep it in a locked, alarmed, guard patrolled garage or something? If no one contacts you speak to Groover he is the trading liason officer and keep us updated on what's happening if anything. Quick question for you, when an insurance company takes into account the postcode of where the car is kept do they just use the first part e.g for me it's BA4 which will include the scummy town a few miles away where crime rates are higher or do you take into account the full postcode which means I get treated based on crime figures in my sleepy little hamlet where nothing happens?
  11. Thanks, keep us updated on how far it does go as im keen on doing mine further down the line and knowing how much to buy would be handy
  12. Roughly how do you reckon that 40sq ft weighs Rose? Will it do the whole floor, doors, rear arches etc?
  13. Im sure Ifty said recently he would do the conversion for £2500 if you wanted someone else to do it, or you planning on doing it yourself? Personally don't see much point, much better to spend the money modding your current lump
  14. Takes a hell of a lot less effort and expense to charge the battery than strip the heads off and replace gaskets
  15. How much weight did that boot lid save you? Mind it doesn't smack you in the face when you open it
  16. Sorry mate I got it wrong, I thought they made more four seaters as there were lots of people who needed the extra seats and had to 'make do' Being serious though I think the lines of the LWB along the rear quarter and tailgate are better, it looks way better with a smoothed tailgate and alot more spoilers suit it
  17. Because the two seater ones are so much better mate
  18. For weights and dimensions of different models look here http://z32.wikispaces.com/Chassis+Differences
  19. Yeah, lots of good info on there. I first saw it when someone posted a diagram of the TT vacuum hoses from there, on here. Another great one if you haven't already seen it is http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/4436.html
  20. I bought my Z for performance and the SWB being a little lighter I thought went for that. If a slicktop SWB had been available at the time within my budget I would have gone for that. As said before Twin Turbo MANUAL is the way to go unless you just want a cruiser.
  21. Nice, that must be weighing in well under a tonne then! Good luck and keep the thread updated with pics of what you do, some of the best reading is build threads
  22. What do you plan to do in terms of gearbox/drivetrain components? Is the S14 diff able to take the extra power? How much are you going for?
  23. Says on there that they are an OEM item so speak to MJP in the traders section for new ones bud
  24. Good news mate, as Gary said make sure you check everything well as it will more than likely flogged to death so if the engine sounds bad or smokes get it checked out before telling the insurance company it's alright
  25. Did paints 4 U get back to you?
