  1. Ok was mighty obvious when I looked at it, it's the braided oil line for the turbo oil feed, but what would normally go in the place it joins to if the crimped pipe is the regular turbo oil feed? Again on this side there is the braided feed but what's this plugged hole usually for in the oil tree?
  2. Gotcha, makes sense now as just after I posted that pic I saw a tech article pointing to it next to the oil filter which confused me. Going to go and work out which way the oil was fed into the turbo as my pics don't clearly show it Cheers
  3. It's the opposite side to the oil filter so it's not the oil pressure sender is it? Now i've got myself confused. What is it Mark?
  4. After removing the turbo I found this oil line next to the pressure sender cut off and crimped over. Can anyone tell me where it should go and have a picture of what it should look like as I can't find it in the service manual Cheers
  5. Excellent! That means it's not blown! Cheers bud:biggrin:

  11. On petrol cars an exhaust gas analyser can be used in the header tank to detect a blown head gasket pushing combustion gases into the cooling system. Does anyone know for definite if the same is applicable for diesel engines? Cheers
  12. Did you get that crankcase windage kit in the end Mark? What about a baffled sump or Accusump as I presume you will track it?

  15. Nice work on the plenum, I don't understand what you have done and what you plan to do with the crankcase gases. Are you ditching the PCV valves and venting it?

  19. If you a copy of the factory service manual go to page 110 in the EFEC chapter for MAF diagnostics. It's available online somewhere, I think on TT.net. If you need a .pdf then message me What's wrong with your car to make you think the MAF is faulty?
  20. Wouldn't the ECU throw a fault code if you put it into diagnostic mode or connected Conzult?
  21. Update: the mobile everyone seems to have for him (8011) was his work phone that he's just handed back in as he doesn't work there anymore.
