I've got an mx5. I love it. It's like a dodgem and great fun to drive. Much better than mk3 mr2 tho I loved my mk2 mr2s as well. And it's not totally impractical. Decent boot fits a supermarket shop. And it's fine over speed bumps. Get a 1.8 not a 1.6 tho and they rust for fun. I looked at about 10 low mileage 2002 to 2006 ones and only 2 weren't rotten!!

Oi!! Nothing wrong with marinas. My 1st car was a marina and I loved him very much. In fact he had done 240k and his bodywork was still immaculate ( admittedly not quite as sound underneath) till the fateful days my dad borrowed him and wrote him off doing an over exuberant turn at the bottom of our road :crying:

I'm with admiral multicar. It works out expensive because they said it takes 12 or 15 years ( can't remember which ) to get their full ncd so unless you've been claim free for ages, they hammer you on your 2nd car. My mx5 cost nearly as much as the z. And it costs £25ish for a windscreen chip. But they are fine with mods.
