  1. I guess I could have but then I didnt want a huge set of pipes just poking out of the lower scoop. ive got the entire top scoop clear too for the rad so thought this was the best compromise. is this a bit of a poor do then in terms of cooling? its been plaguing me since I got the car whether to go FMIC or SMIC. the only other bumper I like is the terminator one ive seen as thats not too fussy either.mhmmmmm
  2. afternoon all! I had a little play last weekend with various bits and bats and really decided that I wanted to give me front as as little grooves and lines as possible. im the kinf of guy who lies to flow with a cars original lines and make things just a lot less messy, anyway, I decided I wanted to go with a non TT bumper so thought I would pop on some pics of what I did and my new intercooler ducting and how i sealed off the old intercooler scoops. opinions welcome :)
  3. im hoping for possible oil slicks out the back or even a stealth mode but who knows! it was behind a screwed on panel so cant be used much whatever it is!
  4. ive got a switch for my fog lights next to my light "cluster" this looks like a mapling job but that gos straight in to the wiring behind there. i darednt flick this secret one in case a parachute came out the back or something!! ahaaha
  5. hello :) whilst fitting my new boost gauge tonight i came accross this behind the drivers trim panel just next to the fuse box. the connections look too good to be someone bodging something but I dont have a clue where it goes as it looks to go in to the loom!? Any ideas!?
  6. it is definately sitting right though, its sitting so far in that the clip isnt pushing down on it. if i had the ridges wrong the clip would be really hard to clip but its just so easy :S
  7. Now I come to think of it..... the clip doesnt push on the base that have the ridges cut out does it. it pushes on the very back of the bulb.... maybe my hid has a "slimmer" base ....hmmmmmm
  8. might need something like this... http://www.dragtimes.com/parts/H7-HID-Bulb-Spacer-Adapter-Honda-CBR-600-CBR600_150420031536.html
  9. just uploading some pictures now, the little "wings" are the only thing i can attribute the clip not pushing down far enough on the hid, the hig does seem to sit all the way in the bottom of the channel (ive definately got the circle and square ridge the right way round too when inserting the bulb
  10. Morning guys hoping you can help or shed some “light” as the case may be….. Got my H3 HID’s delivered last night. Good stuff Went to fit them and everything but when it came to clip them in to place the clip isn’t pushing down on the bulb to hold it in to place. I removed the hid and compared the bulb and it looks like the original H3c bulb has some kind of “wings” that are between the bulb and the base which make the base sit higher in the little channel thus allowing the clip to push on the base much sooner. Has anyone else experienced this? More to the point, has anyone got a good fix? Rather than spacer the base upwards and bring the hid light up I waqnt to have something on top of the base for theclip to press on to but im really struggling what to use. As a temporary measure ive wrapped above the base in tape so theres something for the clip to grab on to but something more permanent would be good! Any ideas?
  11. i got mine on trade from halford, one of the advanced jobbies (calcium and not lead) with a 4 year guarantee. cost £60 I just measured mine and got one the same size, it actually was a far higher spec too. just make sure the possy is on the back left and neggy on the back right and your on to a winner! as long as it goes in the battery tray then happy days!
  12. im getting the exact same thing....... I lock the doors with the timer running (i lock mine with the fob) everything locks n stuff but when the timer runs out the doors unlock. if i get out and dont lock the doors when the timer runs out it just leaves the doors open..... any ideas? Ive got a Toad alarm
  13. Haha good stuff :) I'll get that plumbed in this weekend then. In terms of a boost controller does the ecu need a remap once I crank a bar of boost on to it? I know a guy who does live mapping so might consider using him
  14. Apologies if this is the wrong part! Anyone recommend a decent jap tuning garage for all my power needs. Someone to fit intercoolers n ebc etc Hopefully one who does remaps too!
  15. Ohhhhhh yeah I never even thought about that! its the later ones that are OBDII isnt it? Ill have a look at those linkies and see which I like :)
  16. Thanks for the link :punk: I saw them but I was planning on just having the single pod rather than the full pillar. that way I can add more like the AFR and oil pressure etc at a later date. does anyone run a scangauge on here? My mate with a focus RS runs a scangauge and he can get allsorts of info on there.
