I have been off them for almost 1.5 years now. I had read somewhere that the nicotene is out your system after 8-10hrs, so went to bed real early and when i woke up told myself that the 'want' for a smoke was just habit! Seems to have worked, though still have days were i could have one. Not the easiest thing to do but worth it in the long run.

I have literally sold thousands of batteries over the last few years, Bosch,Varta,Exide, Yuasa and cheap ones. And i can count on 1 hand the amount of Yuasa i have had back under warranty!

There are a few places that do acid dipping! One of the guys i know through the VW's got his camper dipped before a full resto, was down south though. Not sure if anyone does it Scotland.

Can you not get it acid dipped? Sure there will be somewhere down your way that could do it. Means stripping it to a bare shell but that will get rid of everything but good metal!

Just to add if there isnt enough call for a stand we will be having an area for individuals to enter the Show and Shine!!

No club stand confirmed yet, but if both you and del are interested then only another 3 cars and could do a stand?

Exide make there own batteries, Bosch are made by Varta. Out the 2 i would go for an Exide, if however you can get hold of a Yausa then go for it!!

Well if someone wants a freshly powdercoated plenum and matching water pipes, will be getting dropped off this week so they can pick the colour! lol

Dug out the plenum and pipes yesterday to continue polishing and thought feck this! lol. Think i may just drop them off and have them powdercoated! So anyone after a powdercoated plenum and water pipes?

Hi, Quick question, I have a part polished manifold and water pipes in the garage. What kinda value is in them fully polished? May get the wet and dry out to finish them over the weekend if its worth it.

I put the euro millions on xmas eve, Had a dream that night i woke up to an email saying 'good news about your ticket'. So woke up checked my phone and no email! Oh well, so was sitting with the kids and they are opening their presents. My phone then beeps and i have an email 'good news about your ticket' grab the computer and logins on thinking this has to be good........... £2.90!!!! biggest let down ever!!!

As already said, wouldn't go lower that 1500 and use plenty of water!

An event for all vehicles, Custom, modified, concourse, hot-rods and motorcycles, restored and original. from the dawn of the motor vehicle! As you may have seen from the previous thread we are putting together a show!! This will be held @ Chatelherault country park on the 29th June 2014. There is room enough for 500+ cars and with the interest we have had we can easily reach this. As such we are looking to organise clubs stands ASAP so people don't miss out! Tickets will be priced at £10 each ( this includes stand pass if needed ). Please can you guys comment on here so i know to book a stand for you all. Cheers Greig

As much as I would like to, gonna be mega busy getting this show organised pkus the business and still have a day job ( and looking at a valet/detail business aswell!)

So far we have as follows: Clan japan Fiesta owners club St owners club Scottish scoobies Ukmk3's Border city VAG Scottish VAG 300zx.co.uk ( hopefully ) Central cruise scotland All the above have expressed an interest in a stand! There are a few others still to speak to and we haven't touched the American hotrods, old school etc!! Last year scottish vag had there own show there and had 200 cars! And that was only a 1/3 of the space available. Although only the first year we really believe we can get a massive turnout! For traders etc me and my mate both work in the motor trade so hope to have a good selection of appropriate traders.

Well venue is booked and artwork and promo material is in motion. Will update this week with more information

Possibly not the ideal location for most, miles away for me also! But in many ways the ideal location. Will see what happens we do have an alternative site which may be more central.
