Wheel bearing or diff?
Driving along the other day with a mate in the car and he said that I had either a noisy wheel bearing or possibly diff. Q1. How do I tell what causing the noise, jack up car and check for movement by rocking wheel? Q2. How easy is it to fit new wheel bearing, do they need 'pressed' in? I don't really want to contemplate a new diff but, if so, how easy/difficult to fit a replacement? Q3. I've seen bearings on 'ebay' circa the £60 mark, would these be ok or should I be looking to spend more for better quality? As ever, all comments welcome from knowledgeable Zedders. Regards

Old fashioned?
I've always thought that the original design was best and, fair play to others, but new fronts, skirts etc don't do it for me. Subtle changes I don't mind like lights, definitely wheels. Only body change I'd ever consider is removing back spoiler and going for the smooth look, that does work in my opinion and brings car into Ferrari territory lookswise. However, it's all about opinions and personal taste so I suppose there's no rights or wrongs. Finally, the Z32 does not, in any way, look its age.

Cheers Groover, top man!

Door cards
I've been advised that UK spec door cards can be altered to accommodate the seatbelts fitted in the doors of Jap spec cars. Anyone else carried out such a modification and, if so, how difficult is it? Cheers as ever.

Can I just say thanks to everyone for their kind words of welcome since I started posting and for their patience at my questions which you've probably answered a millions times before, it is much appreciated and I hope to meet up with some of you in the future. Thanks again guys.

Paint Code
I need some paint for my 1990 silver import. I've looked at the other threads re paint codes and they appear to be American in origin - different from UK? Would I be correct in stating that my car is Platinum Mist Metallic with code 673? Thanks in anticipation.

Cracking Birthday Present !.....
My brother was/is really into Pink Floyd and I'm sure he went to Earl's Court in 1980. He was only fifteen at the time and went with a mate, think they told mothers they were staying with respective relatives but slept on the street overnight, if only they knew.

Nothing get past you guys! If truth be told, the front could do with a little tidying - front spolier respray so I thought I'd wait until it's done before posting pics - soon I hope. My car was SOR'd at end of October last year, I'd fell out of love tbh and it lay at a friend's garage unit. He recently chased me up to decide what to do, well to cut a long story short, I went to see her and fell in love again, all together now - awwww Upshot is that I've spent a fair amount getting her roadworthy again; two used exhaust back boxes, thanks Jeff/Zedworld. Just purchased a whole velour interior from ebay, steering wheel, mesh for front airdam etc so excited again to get the work done. Was 'Daves-Zed' suggesting I prefer rears? - lol

Rear Spoiler
Can the original factory fitted rubberised rear spoiler be successfully repainted? Mine suffers from the usual cracking/peeling. Has paint technology moved on that allows an improved acceptable finish? I'm aware that fibreglass replacements are available but reckon that it'd be more cost effective to paint original. Your comments, as ever, are much appreciated. Regards

Full interior
Hi all, this seems a bit of a wimpy question compared to others but, having just purchased a full interior including seats, door cards etc, how easy is it to fit? I've accessed the write up about removing door cards elsewhere on the site but what about dash trim, rear passenger seats, trim etc? Any assistance much appreciated. Regards

Driver side window
My window won't operate at all and I'm led to believe that this is a common 'Z' problem. The motor and switch have been checked and appear ok so is the problem with the regulator? If so, can it be rectified or is a new one required. Cheers!

A quick hello!
I registered yesterday and thought I'd say 'Hi' to everyone. I own a N/A 300zx Fairlady auto import which I purchased from 'ebay' last May. Always wanted to own a 300 since I was about twelve (that wasn't yesterday, ha!). There's just something about the shape that does it for me, I suppose I'm a bit of a purist and not really taken with the various bodykits available but, hey, each to their own. My car has been SORNd since November 2010 but a few things being done and I'll be back on the road this week. Nice to have the opportunity to reach out to fellow owners. Regards PS I live in Greenock, SW Scotland, don't see that many Zs about.
