  3. Could be an air hose loose, i'm sure someone will give you a better answer later on. cheers

Trying to sort our an electrical problem, or two, could anyone that stays in the south side of glasgow give me a loan of their light sensor unit, located in the boot near the jack. It would only take a couple of minutes to remove, plug into mine and remove again and would be a great help. I could come to you and borrow it or you could stop by when you could manage. I stay in the Thornliebank/Giffnock area. Cheers David
  9. So therefore as the left handside is working it must be the sensor, bad earth or nick ina wire. I'll have another look tomorrow night. thanks
  10. Have now checked the black box as per the maunal and it is ok, so i'm no further on with the tail light fault. I am in the process of checking all the connections on the fog light wiring, as the car is an import it has been wired in. The connection points aren't brilliant so i am rejoining them with connectors. Could someone confirm, are the tail lights seperately fused and which fuse does which side please? And thanks for the help so far. Cheers david
  11. Hi folks, i would appreciate your help with this as i need to get the car in for a MOT. I new the fog light wasn't working as it was very rusty, so i bought a new one, it's the awful brachet type that hangs from the bumper. Anyway, wired up the new one, went to check it and it wasn't working, at this point i also noticed that the drivers side stop lamp/red driving light also wasn't working (not sure whether it was working prior to this). I have checked all the fuses i can find, under the bonnet and in the footwell, with no success. I have cleaned up the earth for the fog light, replaced suspect bulbs, checked the condition of the wiring in the boot, including the black box, and all looks fine. Where next? Any help would be appreciated, Cheers
  12. Its a straight forward job for anyone cometent in this type of work. You might need the inner panel as well but you wont no until you open it up. I either got the repair panels from Luke or MJP, they are good quality for repair panels.

  21. Thanks for the reply Smithy. I changed the PCV valves and hoses about six months ago which is probably less than a thousand miles for me. The engine internals aren't modified but it has decat and free flow exhaust, apexi filter and mines ecu running standard boost. It does burn some oil on tickover when you come to the lights if your sitting for a minute or so. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
  22. I'll let you know. The stage i'm at is thinking of removing the turbo to see if the oil seel has gone on it but would rather not as it looks like a PITA as i dont have the facilities to take the engine out and its pretty tight with engine in. Cheers
  23. I have found that there is a fair bit of oil and dirt in the turbo intake hose, the small section connecting to the turbo. Is this caused by turbo seal failure or is it coming from somewhere else? (PCV changed a few miles ago and i do get some oil burning on tickover) Cheers
