  1. Got three buy to lets, coventry (0.25% over base) , the mortgage works (4.5%), and Abbey (4.65%). We are currently in the rocess of setting up another which is a 'light refurbishment' buy to let product (around 5%) but they will release extra money to do works on the property. They can usually add the set up fee to the mortgage amount. I once did this as the set up fee was £8k!. You really have to ask yourself how long you are going to have the property and work out if the fees realy make a massive difference over the period. Not many people will keep a buy to let for 25 years I think? If you have a residential mortgage you cant have another one as I think nowadays they advise other companies when you set these up (may be wrong there but seem to remember being told). Also there doesnt seem to be any interest only residential mortgages out there now, all repayment which is annoying as these would be the cheapest repayments every month and after all you could rent it out! Get an independent mortgage advisor, not one attached to an estate agent. We pay £425 to ours for every mortgage she sets up. Dont know if that helps?
  2. Mid / late afternoon?
  3. Hopefully picking it up tomorrow if I can get a lift! Cant wait.... Free ride in a GTR for anyone who wants to pick me up from Bishops Stortford and drop me off somewhere outside of Hertford
  4. Cleaned zed inside and out Fixed annoying rattle in drivers door Fixed washer jets Polished wheels in between showers Treated leather interior Now off to the shops!
  5. Lets see a picture first!!
  6. Just bought this last week, picking up on Tuesday and cant wait to get it lined up next to the Zed!:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:::clap::clap::
  7. This exact same thing happened to my Goodyear Eagle F1 on the rear, and they are good tyres. The bulge was soo big it rubbed the petrol filler gaurd! Tyre shop said I must have chrushed the wall on a kerb or something.
  8. Thanks medalion Man. So it could be virtually anything then!
  9. Only just started noticing it, wanted to get some suggestions before I start.
  10. Yes pulsing, thats a good way of explaining it. Anyone?
  11. This will be difficult to explain but here goes. The zed is running well, it idles fine, is smooth and pulls well on acceleration, but I have this small issue when driving at a constant speed. You feel the car ever so slightly bouncing in the revs, which manifests itself as a small rhythmic vibration in the cab (Steady!). Its most noticeable when you are in a higher gear and often when cruising up an incline. It only happens when the car is in gear, and stops instantly if you take it out of gear and coast, so I know its engine related rather than the drive train or wheels. Its like something isn’t controlling the revs properly and is bouncing on and off, and like I say this is when you are trying to maintain a steady speed. Any thoughts? Thanks
  12. could be mine as well, will check today. good find!
  13. mmm Audi... Sound good. Like this: http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/audi/s4/audi-a4-avant-s4-quattro-1998-450bhp/994667
  14. I did mine last year on my driveway when the water pump needed replacing. It takes some time just to get to it, but its fairly obvious and simple. Bumper stays on. Rad and fan out. Water pipes off. And I think I used a small pulley (£15 on ebay) to remove a wheel. I think I found a guide on here. Just get the parts and allocate a day to do it, then theres no worries. Better that than letting an untrustworthy garage loose on it.....
  15. You read my mind! I have been looking at Stageas for a while, and was going to buy my dad one. Then he said that he thought it was bloody ugly and I kinda agree... Good cars for the money though... I have told the missus that we should just bite the bullet and get me a new Nissan GTR, then I dont have to worry about re selling it as I will keep it. She is going to let me know....
  16. I hope that this does not come across too ponsey but me and the missus are planning a driving trip to France in March. We love skiing, however I given now up the skis and now on a board but she still skis. We want to drive to the Alps and try different a few different resorts on the same trip and so need a car to to take us there, which has room for all of the kit. The cars we have (now 5!) are not good or practical enough so am thinking of buying something just for the trip and then selling it when we get back. Soo.... What should we get? I have said that I am only driving that far if I can have a fun car for driving the mountain roads once we are there, end of, full stop! So not worried about fuel economy, mpg, blah blah... I think it needs to be Jap, fairly recent, and although we cannot get a small sporty number like say an MX5, I was thinking of maybe an earlier Honda Civic type R with a nice ivtec engine in? What suggestions do people have? Budget around 5k ish, and it would be lovely to sell it for the same money (or a little more) when we return... Thanks and No the ZX will nt be ok with rear wheel drive on snowy mountain roads.... Ben
  17. They do and charge you for it. I have tried the live chat but not the phone yet... Managed to mess around with the setting and can now send mail, but still not receiving...
  18. We are pulling our hair out here, so I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction? We have just changed our internet provider to BT and despite some connection issues we are up and running an connected to the internet with a hub. My problem is that I use Thunderbird Mozilla to manage my work emails and even though I have changed the POP and SMTP settingsto those that BT suggest, I still cannot send or receive mail. One message that comes up is that the mails adresses need to be authenticated? I have trawled the net for hours now and I have tried to get help from BT which was a waste of time. Has anyone else come accross this? Thanks in advance. Ben
