+ 1 well said Graham. Gary, we all know you are a genuine guy, and would not cause trouble for anyone, this is a shame to be reading to be honest as the two clubs could enjoy a very good relationship if things were different.

application for regional funding?
Couldn't we just supply the REO's from each area with some club banners etc, or the ones that intend to go around the regional shows at least. It would save a lot on postage, and also save anyone wanting them over the same time period being let down, not to mention the possibility of them going missing or getting broken in the post. They wouldn't have to be on the scale of the national banners, but as long as they contain the club name it would get the club advertised to a wider audiance so to speak. Bunting and stakes to mark the section that has been allocated to the club would be good and is quite reasonable price to buy with the club name on. Just a thought here.

May I just add, anyone from the forum that would like to visit Liverpool (I know not too many would) are more than welcome to come to ours. I will give personal tours of the city we are very proud of, and there is an aweful lot to see and do. We could even put you up if you don't mind camp beds or a tent in the garden.....lol. Just give us a shout. Ian

nice day to get the zed out
I am sorry, but I hate lies being told about me, especially on another forum!! I came across this which I presume is about me as I don't recall another wheelchair user on our stand or at the show: - "About 60 posts removed of other members removed including one that couldnt get past the beast with a wheelchair saying it was impractical." I didn't say this at all, and am annoyed that people have said that I did. What I said, and my post was not removed, was this: - "I had no problem with the Beast being in the marquee, but the one fear I had was scratching or damaging it with my wheelchair, so if we could have another entrance/exit open next year that would be great". This was certainly NOT a critisism in the slightest, just an observation I made that I would have hated to damage Jasons' car. The wheelchair I have at the moment, if the rims get wet it is hard to stop it, and I could not have lived with myself if I had damaged anyones car, not only Jasons'. Please, if people are going to quote things that I have said, can they make it factual, thanks.

What a weekend Jr. and I had this weekend. We needed a break from things going on at the moment, so: - We arranged to go and meet someone from the forum whom we have never met, but have been in touch with for the last 15 months or so and have tried a couple of times to meet up, but various things have happened to stop either of us from attending . We went down to Cardiff last Friday to see TwinTurboRich, however he knew nothing about it. We arranged it all through Rich's partner Debbie. We arranged to meet at their local pub (good place to start....lol)...... Ian and I arrived at about 18:30, and Debbie got Rich there for around 19:30, they went into the other bar at first, whilst I telephoned him to see what he was up to. After I rang him, Debbie brought him into the bar we were in, I put my hand out to shake Rich's hand, and at first he looked as if to say who are you? As he had just spoken to me on the phone....lol, but he then realised who it was, and his face was a picture..., he couldn't believe we had actually met up after all the months of being in touch on the forum. We had a fantastic evening, which went on into the early morning hours back at Rich and Debbie's home, even though Rich was working Saturday morning and had to be up for 05:00!!!! Rich and Debbie are a fantastic couple, and Aimee their daughter is a lovely girl. It was weired though, because Ian and I were staying at a hotel that was attached to a services, when we got to Cardiff we went over to the services to buy a couple of bits we needed, and purchased a couple of drinks from the WH Smiths' that was there. It turned out that the young lady that had served us at Smiths' was actually Aimee, so in effect we met Aimee first, we only found this out later on when we met up, although Aimee had said to Debbie that she thought it may have been us, you don't get too many scousers one in a wheelchair and with their son....lol. Both Ian and I would like to say a big thank you to Rich Debbie and Aimee for the wonderful time we had whilst with them. On the way down to Cardiff, we called at Hollings, and although he wasn't at home, he had arranged for his brother to be at his house in order for us to pick up an exhaust system we had purchased from him. Cheers buddy, it was really much appreciated. So there you have it, 300zx.co.uk does it again, and never ceases to amaze us with the friendliness and generosity of it's members. Ian & Ian Jr.

Please help me give something back
Yeah, it's a crime that the air ambulance has to rely on the generosity of the public, if ever there was a need for government funding, that is it. I have air ambulance Tee-shirts and all sorts of other bits and pieces. I wish I had had the opertunity to work on the helicopter before I had to retire from the service.

Please help me give something back
Hey buddy, glad to hear the news about both your mum and dad. I give to the Air Ambulance on a regular basis. My cousin was the guy responsible for sending the Lancashire Air Ambulance out to jobs, he has retired from the Ambulance Service now. I would just like to say though, don't forget the "on the road paramedics" who do this sort of thing day in day out, but don't really get enough recognition for it.
