But syko was contacted in the only way possible by a MOD at this point in time, as no email address is registered, via the original thread itself. He was advised that the thread was going to be closed via the thread itself, (post by Gary), and enough time was allocated for the reading of the post, and was monitored so that Gary knew the post and reason for closing the thread had been read by syko. I can't see that anything different could have been said by email or PM really.

As Gary has stated, there is no way for a MOD to be able to contact a member that is just registered (cannot PM). The rules are in place for the benefit of everyone, even if it were a MOD or committee member that had forgotten to re subscribe their thread/post would also be removed. It is sometimes a very hard decission for a MOD to remove a thread/post, especially if it is from a long standing member who, like you as an oversight forgot to re subscribe, however if the rules are broken for one, then they would have to be broken for everyone, and the site would be chaos. Please take the time to read through the aup, you will find that the rules are fair and for the benefit of all members.

Great your Zed will be on the road, although it doesn't matter what you turn up in, it's the support that counts....lol.
