ABS or no ABS, doesn't matter, a vehicle failing to stop and running into the vehicle in front because front vehicle slams on the anchors, the car hitting front vehicle from behind is driving far too close, fact I'm affraid.

Sorry but if there is a vehicle behind that cannot stop if brakes are slammed on then he/she is driving too close.

Quite right Si, I can speak as an ex paramedic, any vehicle getting out of the way in any way they can is a big help, but mounting a kerb is a no no. I know ambulance service staff would not expect that unless as stated there is a drop kerb. The same with pulling through into a junction at red lights, only as a last resort and when safe to do so. Mind the red light cameras though as people have been done for moving forward through a red light to allow an emergency vehicle to pass.

I am, although they tried to say the bloke (can't think of his name at the minute) but the guy who was tried for the Gill Dando murder who was released because the evidence was shocking, and also the Steffan Kishco case spring to mind where the parties were actually innocnet of the crime but were put away for it, the police reckoned they had forensic evidence to both of these cases but were found to be wrong. If it were proven beyond reasonable doubt though, ie Ian Brady, Mirah Hindley, the Yorkshire Ripper to name a couple, then I would like to see hanging brought back, hell I would pull the lever myself.

Totally agree, and they say we won the war.....lol, did we hell, we are still governed by Europe. As for any rights for prisoners, they gave up their rights when they decided to break the law.
