wheeler dealers
My son and I have attended the MPH/Top Gear Live and the Footman James Classic car show at the NEC the last few years. Mike Edd and Paul The Wheeler Dealers are there along with their wives, and they make time to talk with everybody, sign stuff, have their photo's taken with anyone, whereas the Top Gear team do not meet anyone, I have asked staff if they can get the Top Gear crew to sign something, I just get the answer that they wont. We have asked Mike and Edd if they will do a Zed, and they both said they would have a word with the shows powers who make the decissions as to what cars they do, and all said that it is one of their favourite cars, so will try really hard to do one. We personally believe them, as we have never met anyone in the public eye as they are so down to earth, really being interested in talking with and getting involved and mixing with anyone who meets them and asks questions about their cars. I don't think there is an episode of Wheeler Dealers that my son and I haven't seen, except the ones that have not been aired yet of course, we even watch the re-runs over and over. This paid off as we won a big bag of goodies after Mike asked a question to the audience. All the Wheeler Dealers are very nice people, and the stuff they give away at the NEC is great. Honestly, try and get to the show next year, and I am sure you will leave with the same opinion of the Wheeler Dealers as we have. :thumbup1:

Xbox 360 red ring of death!!!!
Before you try anything, how old is the XBox? Microsoft had to conceed and fix the problem on any XBox that is three years old or younger. My son has just had the repair done by Microsoft under this extended warranty, it didn't cost a penny. Try the Microsoft website if your XBox is under three yerars old.

Insurance for young drivers
I have been driving professionaly for more years than some of you have been around!!! I am a firm believer that young people should be given a chance, not everyone is the same, therefore you cannot tar everyone with the same brush, it is wrong. Saying this, my uncle who is 83 gets hammered with insurance, this too is wrong, it is in fact ageism by the insurance companies. Most of the young and older.....being diplomatic...lol, have clean driving records and licences, but are discriminated against by having to pay through the nose because the "statistics" show that the young and the older age groups are "more likely to have an accident". I was in fact in the Ambulance Service, and I can tell you that ANYONE, no matter what age can have an "accident" that is why they are called accidents, although the words we used to abreviate to denote a road accident was RTA (road traffic accident) this has now been changed to RTC (road traffic collision) because accident infers that there is no one to blame. In my opinion, after all the road accidents that I attended (and believe me it was a lot), one could not say that there was an average age, the whole age spectrum was covered. This is why I have this opinion... All drivers no matter what age, should be given realistic car insurance quotes. If then, they have a collission or accident, and they are deemed to be at fault, then put up the premiums, and I am in total aggreement with the person that said why are we penalised if our car is stolen, or damaged by idiots??? I think you will find that it is these idiots that steal cars are the worst offenders for crashing them, unfortunately they are very often young, so get categorised in the young category, and as most of these little idiots do not even hold a driving licence, they should just go into the idiot category, not an age category. Hope I haven't offended anybody in this, except for the idiots who steal cars, to them I make an exception.....lol.

Does anyone have an astra, the one before the brand new one
Hi, the dimensions of the Astra badge are: - 7cm top to bottom and 7.5cm accross, just got these measurements from my wife's Astra. I think from memory that they are held on to the grill by 3 or 4 plastic lugs with black caps to hold it in place, she has just gone out, but if you require any more info just get back to me and I will go get what you need when she gets home.

Import parts
Hi all, New on here, just bought myself a nice 1989 Nissan 300ZX non-turbo. It was imported from Japan 2004. Where can I obtain parts for it,I want to do a cam belt change and service, also I have noticed that the hazard warning light switch works when pushed, but will not stay once let go,does anyone have a fix for this, or is it a replacement. Cheers Ian (vectra_666)
