I agree with that, thay cant claim to have lost out if they sold the car can they. With Ford being such a big company, £600 is nothing to them. I'd go higher and call ford Direct. Threaten legal action and watchdog etc. They wouldn't want the bad press over £600. Failing that, burn the garage to the ground!!!!

Prices will go up. Just might take a while. Eg E30 M3. I remember when they were getting older, you could get one for £5k. Now, your looking at £10k to £30k!!! It is a good car the zed, its warn the years wel, and doesn't look dated. That way, people will still want them, and in years to come, when weve broken all the bad ones, only the good will be left, and people will pay for them..

I think its mainly Reps, They get a free brand new car, usually base spec Audi, BMW, Merc and they think they own the road!

What do you charge for a fully rebuilt engine?

Is there anywhere in the uk that sells them? I found one in the US for $1462, which works out at £905 before all the taxes and shipping etc. I can see that figure getting much higher. Are they for sale over here at that sort of price? I need a new engine, but if i buy another second hand one, how do i know how good it is? Also, i plan to push a bit of power, so its best to do it right first time. Ive got a good engine in my breaker, but i could sell that as a good running engine to go towards the cost of a rebuild, and why use that engine to want uprated parts soon anyway...

It sounds strange, but im breaking my Zed, i am leaning how things go and what goes with what. I might not have risked doing it on my other zed for fear of damaging it (im no mechanic). But taking my time and learning how to do it is fun. Now i know i can do it on my other Zed!

When i said N/A, i wasn't talking Zed's, just cars in general. Turbos bring more hassle. Youve already got one, so something cheaper to run for a second car i's say.

He just sold his GTO. I'd look at another zed, finding a nice one might be a bit of a pain that without spending big ££££'s. 200sx as said, or a BMW E36! Depends what you use it for. If you want a car to use everyday, but a bit fo fun, a 328i sport is a safe bet. I assume you dont want a project car, as youve got the zed, i'd say go N/A!

I have a manual car that has been converted from an auto. How can i tell which one mine has? I would have thought it was an Auto one, why would he have changed it?
