  1. Tbh, with those NISMO wheels you're planning you could paint a picture of a dog turd on the bonnet and the car would still look good. In my judgement zeds should be either black or white (although you can get away with red if you pick the right wheels). Although I'd say go with olive, just for the fact that it will be the only one in the counrty. P.S. good luck saving enough pennies for the LMGT4's
  2. Me too, no matter what I'm using to lift the car, I put old wheels underneath to make a safety cage. Theres a guy at my dads work who was working on a transit and it fell on him, he was stuck under it for 2 days until people came in on Monday, apparently he still walks funny to this day.
  3. Hi, sounds like classic air getting into the system, as the cylinder leaks air gets in and because the cylinder heats up as you drive the previous tiny volume of air expands and changes the biting point when warm. When it cools the air contracts again and the biting point goes back to what it was before. Also make sure your fluid reservoir is filled right to the brim, if there's any air under the cap then this expands and pushes the fuild out of the reservoir when warm.
  4. Do you mean vtc plug i.e. the plugs for your variable valve? IIRC they are the ones with a white piece of wire attached
  5. Avoid the selespeed like Anthrax Shake and Vac
  6. Were there any white fiestas nearby? ;)
  7. I think there may be some confusion between 'civil liberties' and 'political correctness'. Its political correctness and political liberalism gone awry that have led to things like prisoners with PS3's and home owners being prosecuted for lamping a burglar. Whereas civil liberties such as the right not to have a piece of your body removed (and stored on file for your whole life), not to have you numberplate automatically recorded, and the right of owning a motor vehicle without criminality*- have most certainly taken a considerable beating. *Im referring to the new rule of having to SORN your car every year now, the practice of keeping a vehicle has now been criminalised unless you declare every year now that you are not a criminal.
  8. Ah thats not too bad, you can get this great stuff called T-Cut.....
  9. I thought heroes was great up unitl the last episode which I thought was teh rubbish (not because of plot but because of heinous execution). It was funny though, I watched it at the same time as lost season 3 which had been going downhill as heroes went up, all for it to be reversed in the last episodes. Lost's ending was great, Heroes was rubbish.
  10. That kinda sucks, if its any consolation I just moved to Spain and I found out the pollen (or polution) they have out here has caused my childhood asthma to come back. I've spent the last few days coughing my guts up and wheezing like a broken whoopee cusion.
  11. Ok, sure you can*, I'll vote for your car aswell** *no you can't **yes i will
  12. Yeah, I saw your rex a while back, its quite a machine. Given the bhp i saw it running I just assumed it was the 3 rotor when you mentioned a cosmo engine, having said that I hear the 2's are more tolerant of boost stock for stock.
  13. Wow, what a noise
  14. Acutally the mx6 is a quite different car, the cosmo only came with 2 rotor and 3 rotor TT engines (mines only a 2  ), the mx6 was 2.5 v6 IIRC.
  15. Actually, I left that in hoping someone would be smart enough to spot it, congratulations you win a prize* *no you don't
  16. £1110 :hyper: If you can guess what it is I'll give you a prize* *no I won't
  17. The words 'nail' and 'head' come to mind. I could make a better operating system with my ass. In fact, after that dodgy curry, I think I feel an operating system coming on
  18. Well I have done business with the guy, and I've found him to be just about the most professional mechanic I've ever met, I'd use him for any major work that I don't fancy doing myself. If any delays occur I severely doubt its because of something in his control. Obviously I don't know the details of your involvement with him, but I've watched him work and know he never dithers about. (Btw. if you're having trouble contacting him keep trying his mobile and leave a message- its not always on but you can get through in the end)
  19. A pulsing? Like if you put the car in reverse it will 'pulse' backwards unevenly? Sounds a bit like when I had a dodgy PTU.
  20. Its actually been 'calculated' (I use commas because I don't know who managed to do it and how) that using an electric car produces 4-5 times as much pollution at the power station end than the car would directly. So its not just worse for the enviroment using an electric car- its much worse. Those hybrid cars are a big con as well, making the batteries they use generates so much pollution that they're actually worse on the enviroment than a conventional petrol car, and apparently a petrol jeep is the most enviromentally friendly car in the world, based on how much pollution they generate in manufacturing, driving and disposal.
  21. I wouldn't put too much faith in being covered by paypal, they only cover you to £125 or something, unless of course you buy their 'special protection'. One thing you could have done to teach the impatient muppet a lesson was send him a box with a brick in it (A george foreman grill would also have been funny), then there is proof for Paypal that you sent an item and he received it, then its his word against yours.
  22. Yes, but its absolutely vital you get the extended warranty aswell, you'll be lucky if the console lasts longer than a year.
  23. I take it your mate changed the motherboard along with the processor? To me it sounds like a classic case of XP trying to wake up in a new body. I've found that transplanting an XP OS isn't like earlier versions of windows where you could just stick another hard drive in another computer and it would boot fine. I have the same problem with a computer I have that just died, when I put the harddrive in another computer to check its ok, it just goes round in circles attempting to boot.
  24. The paradoxical thing with our current government is that if no-one objects then they think 'it must be a good idea if everyone agrees', yet if tons of people kick up a fuss they then say 'it must be a good idea if everyone objects, change for the better is tough and often unpopular'. It doesn't matter if everyone in the country signs, that will just convince them they're on the right track.
