  8. i was working at my boss's sister's house the other week and she asked if i would get shot of a garden chair she didnt want, apperently it was her dads favourite chair and is probably 30 years old, anyhoos she is a lazy sod and wont do anything so told me to throw it and she would buy a new on, i decided as its hardwood and a nice looking chair i would give it a new lease of life i stripped it down, sanded it then bleached it (just normal toilet bleach in a spray bottle) to kill all the green mould repaired one of the ends as it had snapped down the join, and gripfilled (liquid nails) all the big cracks in the wood and sanded it down then three coats of cuprinol ducks back wood paint i think it looks quite good, just need some sun and a few stellas to really appreciate all my hard work lol how it looked when i got it all stripped sanded and bleached first coat second coat third and final coat all done ready for sun and stella lol
  9. you should always use the council to do this for one reason only, if you do it yourself or a company then you are responsible for it, should anyone trip and hurt themselves then they can take you to court for a claim, if the council do it then they take them to court for a claim

  14. by the way, greyhounds make lovely house pets, great with kids and family and some can also be ok with other pets but please request a home visit with the re-homer before taking it in (although a decent rescue centre will request a home visit anyway)

  16. on a brighter note, michelle has just left a great comment in our local adsas comment book about a worker who we asked if there was anymore of the cheap stella (18 tins for £12 as the shelf was empty) he ran round to the isle where i was, scanned and said there are three left but they may have been took, he ran out the back like a bat out of hell and came back with the last three cases, i bought them all and shook his hand restored my faith in humanity lol, always try and remember the good things people do as appose to the bad they do as the latter greatly outweighs the other unfortunalty
