  1. ok so i am on my way back to my office in kazakhstan ..each side of the road we have sorm drains ..vertical sides...6 feet deep 3 feet accross ...two 12 inch concrete pipes run from each storm drain under the road and connect to the drain on the other side......i could hear some yelping and looked and saw a small puppy only a few weeks old ( they are ferrel dogs here and terrified of humans ) had fallen into the drain and could not get out....i could not get in as everytime i went near it ran into the pipe......i have laid a plank in the drain at its lowest point where a step is cut out of teh side at about 3 feet high ....to act as a ramp .....went back the puppy is still in teh drain and yowling , very disstressed and disstressing for me as a dog owner to hear it crying for its mum......i hav etried enticing it out with food but no way its coming out of the pipe while im there ......cant see how to help it if it wont help itself ...do i let nature take its course ?? or does anyone have any bright ideas......
  2. mmmmmmm loverly !! quad tips look so much better IMHO..is it mongoose ?
  3. racing fuel tank !! ..i thought it was one of those recyclable "green" batteries ..... cracking post .....nice one jim brightened up a dull wet afternoon in Kazakhstan no end :)
  4. its like a zed university on here when Jeff posts one of these how to with pics..really good stuff Jeff and very usefull to all members ...nice one mate
  5. i would be tempted to do the PCV's yourself again .....
  6. absolutely spot on ....unfortunately its those irresponsible owners that give other responsible dog owners the bad press they get for letting their animals foul the pavement , bark and yap at all hours, ..i think there should be an exam taken first before you get a dog license......
  7. a little bit of play ...walk away there should be none at all .....any play at "x" thousand revs the turbine spins at and it will very quickly destry itself or bearings and feed nice big chunks into your plenum.....unless you are going tooverhaul them that is ...but make sure there is no turbine tip damage or housing wear
  8. still talking to Jeff at zedworld to pry my car back off him , (K sport 8 pots going on with huge discs front and 6 pots at the back with huge discs :) hopefully this time home i wil be driving it once again so Sept 18th i will be through to Boro .....drop me a pm with your address or where you want to meet up and i will bring it round so you can take it and your fella for a blast and a pose ......
  9. that is so nice and a true RS .....a much much better car than the XR3i ever was......someone from the UK RS owners club will snap that up for sure
  10. well, ive just phoned home and Alfie is trying to hump the cushion so i think he is over his trauma lol......bloody right though Vijay people like that shouldnt be allowed to own animals ..had it been a todler it wouldhave been badly mauled....doesnt bear thinking about ....glad its all turned out ok anyway
  11. little Alfie after getting clipped ......yeah hes a tough little sod and as you say , will be all the wiser for the tussle
  12. no he was a typical morecambe drone apparently .....Alfie is ok just feeling a bit sorry for himself but he's a terrier and they are hardy llittle fellas so im sure he will be ok ......ill get a picture of him posted up when i can dig one out....
  13. got a phone call today to say my brother in law took my 9 month old Maltese terrier to the beach today at 7 am to walk him...beach was deserted at that time and at 9 months he's still a pup and very inquisitive....off he bounds to some raggy assd big mongrel who appears on the beach off his lead who just turns on him and tears his face near his eye and muzzle and gouges his stomache ...little Alfie was terrified and was in full submit mode and the other mutt just kept lunging at him befiore his skanky owner could pull him away.......dogs like that need a muzzle , had that been a kiddie it would have probably killed it......feel like beating the pulp out of someone as im stuck 3000 miles away....and FUMING !!
  14. ive used that kind before they are good , paper overalls and latex examination gloves with the wrist band of the overalls taped round them ..and teh hood up as well mate ...as said its the cyanide in the hardner thats a killer ..once absorbed into the body it stays for ages especialy in the liver , and has compound effects ie gets more vicious every time you absorb more....meaning you only have to absorb smaller and smaller quantities to get the full blown effects
  15. the fuel map will be ample for the extra breathing with a free flow intake and reduced restrictions of a free flow exhaust , no need to re map ..IF however you increase the boost levels ..fit boost controller or boost jets, then a re map is the safe way to go
  16. i think the spline sized are different mate .....so its all out if you want the NA gears the leader gears are shorter still than the NA set and do fit directly in the TT diff ..but mucho wonga
  17. shmae...wtf is shmae ???..shame ......shame on me ...shame on my keyboard......oh the shame ......obvioulsy i need a cup of tea
  18. carbon bonnet , carbon fan shroud and windscreen trims scuttles in good nick..what a shmae to see tizers old car like that ..i hope the thieving toe rags really hurt themselves and limp for the rest of their miserable lives
  19. i think the newer model OF k SPORT with the black calipers not orange are also improved over the origional design, K sport dampers are very hard ive heard ...( soon find out as ive had them them fitted to mine )......ooops
  20. alternator should be ok Ian ..just make sure you have the ring connectors on the positive terminal not earth and not shorting out to earth, earth should be a completely seperate cable , it sounds like you have adead short accross the alternator connections.
  21. although you loose the strength of the TT drive shafts ....its not just 0-60 the whole driving experience alters..it becomes an overtaking animal.....slightly less top end but then again when do you ever do 170+ on the motorway ?? .i have plummed for the leader diff gears which are as near as damnit to the NA but retains the TT diff and drive shafts......removed the hicas alltogether and have had fitted driftworks lock out bar
  22. hard pipes as said are mainly for looks except for the radiator hard pipe kit ....the bottom pipe is prone to collapsing through time and reducing flow through the rad therefore effecting cooling so a hard pipe upgrade on there is a definate plus
  23. bloody hell Ian ....that must of been awful ......im so glad you are getting it sorted out and i hope that in the future when things have settled down you and your ex can sort something out regarding the kids.....and get things back on track that way at least.....your new missus must have felt awful having the kids taken from her .......family comes first you are so right
  24. i got an RPS street max off Smithy years ago ..its a great clutch didnt slip at all and i fully expect it to handle the 450rwhp it will have when i get it back
