Japshow, Santa pod, 9th October
lol @ pictures rich....I wont spoil the scenario so you'll all just have to all wait for the videos that I for one would like to see and know will appear yer...it was a great day thanks rich  Shame I couldnt see the chunkster go on the strip :( but he did have a different type of Quarter mile record set today ;) That rocket car fookin shook the commentators box and blew my ear drums out....So i give it thumbs up...That was FAST Also thanks to Hexaking and slick pete for some pointers as I was a noob today :D I managed a modest 13.8 on the first run with what I felt was probably going to be the best for the day but I thought i'd try decreasing the revs and increasing the revs on the last two runs. The second run I fooked up and no where near enough revs and didnt even look at the time for that one... :xxx: The last I had a little too many revs and spun up about 10 metres off of the line and then the back started jumping about but I had to keep it pinned otherwise the lag would of killed me :( ...that was a 13.9 (i think i need new subframe bushes...uprated of course :D ) The dArKsIdE vs the lightside video FAO Zevoguy... I waited around for about an hour and half but couldnt find you....even got chunk to ring you but ur phone was on answering machine :( Maybe next meet?...lol Thanks again all....Great day hadby me and the missus

Hit a Fookin Fox yesterday.....
lol...cheeky MoFo  I know what you mean though mate.... I wanted a bumper that was more aggresive than the norm and the C1 was the closest I could find. Its not perfect but was close enough for now. I was always going to modify the bumber but not just yet...lol looks like I'll have to do it sooner than l8er now :( Basically its the eyebrow lips I dont like above the indicators...this needs smoothing into a continuous curve like the std spoiler. And I might round the lower corners by the wheels a little bit...they stick out too far  So after the Pod i'll be off to Halfords for some P40 to sort this little lot out Heads up :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:

BREMBOs fitted and show marked improvement....56Kers Beware...lol
Thanks Smithy  You sorted me some nice parts and made my job alot easier...your kit fookin rocks and I really cant recommend enough :) As for the colour..... This was a nightmare... Tried three gold paints before I found one that was a replica of the original Brembo gold....and the finish is alot better than I managed as my mate did them and then baked them in an oven :wack:

Hit a Fookin Fox yesterday.....
yer.... The next day there were warnings of deer on the roads and luckily I adhered to these warnings as on the way back from my mates fitting brembos I saw a deer on the side of the road and hit the anchors and stopped just in time to save the little fella  All thanks to the Brembos ...lol

Hit a Fookin Fox yesterday.....
Doin a little above 69mph ;) on a dual carrigeway and hit a fox.... even if i was doing 20mph I wouldnt have stopped in time :nono: Its fooked the front bumper and ripped of the undertray... BUT... Worst of all its fooked two of my Neons   I think if Id of been going slower more damage may of occured as the speed I hit it I think it just anialated the fox :) I was expecting to get out and see him collected in the intercooler duct but no...he must of been splayed into several pieces  Disclaimer...for all animal lovers of which i am one I did not intend on causing harm to any litttle four legged friends but sh1t happens :( ) Its all patched up with Gaffa tape for now ready for Da Pod.

BREMBOs fitted and show marked improvement....56Kers Beware...lol
Well its taken waaaaaaay to long just to get these sorted but its been worth it. And this means something apparently...lol :- and yes...I know i need to clean my wheels:- I wasnt sure if theyd be done in time for Da Pod but me and my mate worked till gone midnight the last couple of days and have got it sorted. Had lots of problems such as:- Bolts required were different to that fitted to fit the Brembo calipers...The original bolts were a smaller metric thread size and the bolts required to fit the Brembos were a larger metric thread size. The Brake hose connections for the Goodridge braided hoses were the wrong ones..females instead of males so new connections had to be flanged and sorted. The original front brake disk didnt wanna shift so we got a "Fook off" great puller and it just popped off..lol Guards got in the way so we just cut them off (could of bent them out of the way but I need them off for fitting these:- Brake disc duct there not fitted yet as i need to figure a route out for the ducting from the front fog inlet. Performance in figures :- Standard TT setup 100mph > 0mph = 7-8 secs Brembo GTR setup 100mph > 0mph = 4 secs To be honest the pads I tested the standard setup on were very low but still had full coverage. But to counter that... I think I may be able to get below 4 seconds braking on the new ones but the ABS started kicking in so I now need to get a switch fitted to eliminate the ABS for trackdays  The conditions for both tests were:- tested after 20 mins of normal driving Flat dry road (private) Left in third gear and no changing down of gears Exactly half a tank of fuel (set of brake discs in footwell and spare set of calipers...lol) standard TT setup:- 280mm discs 4 pot calipers and std pads Dot 4 Fluid Brembo GTR setup:- 324mm discs (DBA grooved) oversized modified 4 pot Brembo calipers Porterfield pads Goodridge braided hoses Dot 5.1 fluid Custom alloy brake brace (Clicky ) BIG thanks to Smithy/AndyP/MJP/JMB services and all who supplied help on my threads for these. Major recomendation for the DBA discs and Porterfield pads. (I was impressed with a little touch on the DBA discs of a heat monitoring facility on them...) The pistons are modified.... They are made out of Stainless steel instead of alloy..This is to stop the heat transferal from the piston to the fluid.... Also... They have a "Castelated" head on them which allows air to circulate from inside the actual piston to stop the heat build up..These little race tricks will eliminate brake fade on trackdays. Now I have these I wonder how i ever managed before....they just seem right for the car now and no longer do you have to worry about thinking "Fook...ive left the braking too late. Its now more a case of "Why did you brake so early" I have covered about 200 miles on them and have not had any signs of the dreded "squeeling" from them so looks like Porterfields are the nuts of a pad :duffer: Dont care how long they last...They work like a dream. So im all set for the Pod tommorow but I know its only gonna want to make me get a move on with the supercharger conversion but thats another day...lol

SuperCharger contacts....
lol...not thanks mate  .... Im looking at 800-1000bhp....not 1bhp :x: Thanks for the suggestion though.... Might help on the 0-1000rpm scale but anything past that and it would be struggling to keep up with a conventional supercharger...electronic ones just dont cut the Mustard..lol :duffer:

Fooking Women
White smoke would usually indicate water in the combustion system. Overfuelling usually delivers a black sooty smoke. Fuel Gauge goes down like hell...lol..Normal Any other symptons? Does it run rough? misfire? checked ur plugs to see the colour of them? Black sooty shit could mean rich fuel mixture White could mean too weak mixture Crystalised formations on the plug is usually oil burnt on the plug. If youre getting loads of white smoke and black cacky plugs it could be a Head Gasket...(could be) Has it had a decent run l8ly? They all give white smoke if not driven reguarly or for long enough?
