  1. REally sorry to hear about your job Joel, that's awful. Hope you find something else soon so you get your zed back on the road J
  2. Very sad. Didn't get all girly and cry but I could have! Made sure I really gave it some beans up and down my favourite local roads before tucking him up for winter. I wish I didn't have to sell up but my fairy godmother's on strike lol
  3. Officially SORNed from tomorrw. Sob! Didn't disappoint, gave it an absolute blast. God I love that car. Whoever buys it is gonna absolutely love it.
  4. None here but last night on "mischief night" (wtf?!) we had someone throw a stone through the front window. As its a sealed UPVC unit, whole window needs replacing
  5. 'kin 'ell mate, I am so sorry. EXACTLY the sam happened to me last month, if you remember my post about my zed getting outta line - except I was fortunate enough to be the only car on the road and the road was wide enough for me to manage to avoid the impact, but if there'd been anything in the outside lane I would have totally spun out and hit it. Like you said, important thing is that no-one was hurt but even so, an absolute ball ache. Must be the day for crap happening because it is, apparently, mischief night tonight and as such, some little scrotes put a great big hole in my front window :cursing::cursing: Was gonna go out for one last night drive in the zed tonight but its hidden away in the garage, I daren't take it out :censored:
  6. Yes, you should def put your name down - I'm gonna make me and Marc a definite yes!
  7. In a Zed?! By bus?
  8. Thanks again all I've emailed the sister this morning asking her to confirm when my start date will be and what the salary be, and explained that I am unable to resign from my current post until I have this information in writing. It took 8 weeks for my CRB for this job - I could feasibly resign from this job on Monday and not get my CRB check through til late December, so be unemployed for a month - I just can't take the risk. So frustrating
  9. Gutted gutted gutted my car will be SORNed for this - the Apexi twin exhaust would have sounded awesome. Def planning on coming in the Prelude - Teesside convoy Stevie?
  10. We had a conversation on the corridor today and she said my start date is def 1st Dec, she was less certain about the salary though. As for why - its a healthcare assistant role - good hands on experience for me prior to starting my nurse training in Sept 2011 - and it gets me out of an office job I don't enjoy
  11. I'll give the ward sister a call tomorrow, see what I can sort out - if she wants me then I'll have to get it in writing. Argh, so frustrating, Monday is the latest I can give my current boss a month's notice!
  12. Thanks all - spoke to my mum who has also said the same thing (she worked in the NHS for 38 yrs) I'll sit tight and wait for something formal to come in. Not sure who exactly it'll come from given recruitment seem to think they have met their end of the deal....
  13. You know I've been offered a new job, within the hospital, as a healthcare assistant rather than as a medical secretary? Had an offer of a job, which is subject to references and CRB etc. The letter says my new manager will confirm my start date and salary. Been told verbally that the start date is 1st December, the salary will be the same as I am on, because the job is a grade lower than my current one, so they will mediquate it to the same money although again only been told this verbally. Spoke to recruitment today who say they have sent me all they will be sending me, and anything else comes from my manager. Is it just me or am I being over cautious in not wanting to hand in my notice til I have a confirmed start date and salary? What if they back out? I'd have no job and because I'd resigned, I'd not be entitled to claim anything either. Help!!
  14. Happy birthday
  15. Ha ha!! My cat Morph ran into our house from our neighbours with a boiling hot roast potato in his mouth once! I also had a made with a mohecan hair do when I was a teenager - the cat ambushed my mate from the gap in the stairs and attacked my mate's hair lol
  16. what he said  GUTTED Might have to take the Prelude just to make sure we get along to this
  17. Maybe its a portsmouth cat thing as my dad in pompey, his cats eat weird stuff too. Like beetroot. All my cats always loved anything marmite too
  18. Oh thats appalling. Happened to Richard, one of the other Teesside Zed owners on here - little scum bags jumped all over his Zed and kicked 7 shades out of it :censored::censored: Its not fair, when we all work so hard for nice things, that some horrid b@stards decide to trash it, makes me so angry Really hope its not too bad a scratch
  19. Rule of thumb re complaints: Be succinct but informative - dates, times, names Say what made you unhappy and why State how you would like this to be resolved HTH J
  20. Dunno what you mean :innocent::whistling:
  21. Ha ha! I really do want one of those! VERY naughty
