Bit of a heart in mouth moment
Thanks guys. To be honest it depends if I can afford to live on the much lower bursary and loans. After all I have Tasha to provide for so I can't just willingly take considerably less money. I would like to do the degree but I'd opted for the Diploma because of the funding. Also worried that if I decide to hang on til January, the funding could get pulled again and then I'm buggered. Just really didn't want student debt if I could avoid it, it took me ages to pay off the lot from my 1st degree. Frustrating thing is I applied to start this month but the course was already full hence having to wait til Sept. Argh!

Bit of a heart in mouth moment
Found out last night that my place at Uni had been withdrawn as the local strategic health authority has pulled the funding. Cue a lot of panic and a very sleepless night last night. Anyway for some reason, the whole cohort of students ready to start the diploma in Sept have basically been told its a no go. So now I have 2 choices, either do the degree programme (prob better in the long run career wise but much much lower funding and will have to rely on student loans) or put off starting til January 2012. Big decision to be made here. Very stressful 24 hours!

£145 cancellation charges?!
Checked the policy docs online, and to cancel within 3 months (policy taken ou 1st Dec 10) its 50% of annual premium, plus £20 cancellation fee plus £15 admin fee. :cursing:

I learnt something new today
Flux couldn't touch the quote I got from Lynbrook by a really long way when I had Zedward, that was about £250 a year fully comp, on a classic policy with limited mileage. They wouldn't insure Marc tho as he's 24 and their underwriters apparently won't touch under 25s. I'm off to investigate my £145 cancellation fee now.....

LMAO at Baz's comment! V funny Thanks all, gonna read the T's and C's later on and see if I have a case to complain. After all there is a massive difference between £37 a month and £17! And as for my premium being lower than some of yours....well I am old and haver never claimed! :cool3:

£145 cancellation charges?!
Its daylight effing robbery Gary. I'm bouncing mad! God I miss the days of having a local broker where you could go in and they'd sort you out without all this b0ll0cks. I know its still not a massive premium but I need to keep my costs down where I can, I'll be living on a student bursary soon. Pfft. Rip off Britain
