Car's sorted, rocker cover gasket replaced, and Phil also noticed the EGR valve was knackered and sucking in air so he's blanked that off. Car still sounds a bit tappity so I've got some Slick 50 to whack in there. Only annoying thing is Marc only serviced it recently so he'll either have to remove 750ml of oil or we'll just wait til we next service it to bung it in. All sorted for £45 anyhoo :clap:

I will one day! And I did have 3 Probes! 2 of the woeful 2 litre ones and 1 of the 2.5V6 ones which Marc managed to get 135mph out of (private road, yada yada yada lol)

Omega's been running a bit rough last week or so, also notice a smell coming from the engine esp whilst having the heating on. Marc had a good furtle about under the bonnet and when he removed the sparks the holes were full of oil! He's cleaned it all thoroughly, put new spark plugs in, but am I right in thinking that we need to replace the valve covers or replace some sort of gasket? Car is running fine now's he's done this, but I'm at a loss as to how the oil got there initially. Got my mechanic coming to check over the car on Weds anyway but just thought I'd ask....
