  1. Going to look at a Zed tomorrow. hopfully its the one and i buy it! We'll see, looks in amazing condition. NEW (maybe) ZED
  2. [cough] manual conversion [cough]....:ninja::ninja:
  3. I wont be breaking the car, too good to break. if i sell i'll sell as a whole.
  4. Appart from the tension rod bushes and water leak under the plenum its mechanically sound. Just spent £600 getting it through the MOT! I think all the repairs it needs should come to less than 3k, maybe less than 2k, but i want a respray too. Then just tarting it up really.
  5. I saw this one when i realised my first choice was auto. Definitely tempted! i think i'm probably going to go down the route of replace rather then rebuild, just seems like the better option for me
  6. I've found one i like on pistonheads for 5k. Looks very nice! http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2363416.htm I've very particular though, if i bought a new one, it would HAVE to be manual twin turbo 2+2. Preferably UK spec due to insurance (sounds silly, but being only 22 it makes a big difference)
  7. I'm in two minds whether to spend money repairing my Zed or just sell it and buy one in better condition. As it stands, my car need a repair tto he rear quarter (big big rust patch), rust patch under fuel filler, petrol tank straps, tension rod bushes, front and rear bumpers need replacing, plenum bypass due to water leak. in addition to the repairs i want 99spec front bumper and other bodykit bits, interior refurb, respray in different colour, new wheels. So really i'm looking at spendin about 4-5K fixing my Zed up, or 4-5k to buy a better one. What would you do???
  8. Not seen this for a while, still makes me die laughing!
  9. i'm sorting through it now, it looks like theres a reciept for everything and anything the car ever had done! :D
  10. Just had a proper look through my service history, i've never really bothered before. Appart from finding out my car has an alarm (that doesnt work :p) i also have an MOT certificate from every year since 94 (no mot needed for first 3 years??) but most suprisingly, i have the original purchace reciept stating the car origionally cost £28,000. It also had a different Reg when new, and i have a reciept for the reg number change. How much do you think this adds to the value?
  11. I actively seek those guys who stand at traffic lights, and if its raining heavily, i strap one to the roof and give him a tenner at the end of the journey :D
  12. Yup, had the car MOT'd today and got the dreaded red sheet. Luckily though there's only two points - Nearside rear wheel bearing has excessive play *DANGEROUS* (love getting dangerous notes :p ) - Offside rear steering pivot point has excessive play Not too bad i don't think. And they didn't spot the leaking brake pipe, which is nice :p Looks like I'll be making the arduous 10min trip up the m6 to Zedworld lol
  13. I didnt realise these were rare! I'll take care of mine then! :p
  14. I cant find a car wash thats open anywhere!! Appart from the Romanians with buckets of dirty Canal water. I cant be arsed to clean my car! Its too cold! Cant see my numberplate anymore! Cant even see where my numberplate is!!! hahaha :p
  15. My Zed seemed to think it was -38 last night on my way home from work....think i might have a fault :p :p :p
  16. Why a Tuesday??? Seems a bit odd
  17. Theres a safe patch where i was parked! :p Looks like i left just in time! Its started snowing really heavy in coventry just about 10 mins after i got home. Sad to hear its cancelled, but look at the bright side, will be alot safer in Feb (hopfully) and maybe even a little warmer. And you should get a turkey a bit cheaper too :p
  18. I swear i recognise that Reg, did you recently buy the car off a scottish bloke?
  19. This is the solution to my clutch problem that the 'specialists' couldn't find the last two times i crunched my way to them! I'll let you know how the "Fix it on the warranty" argument goes :p
  20. Fantastic! I'll come get one today! if i can get the car going :p Still selling them at £69 for subscribed members?
  21. Looks like i'm going to have to buy a new battery :( My question is which battery to buy? I want to get one that kicks out a bit more power for my sound system which is soon to increase in size and power consumption. We're not talking mega powerful, just enough for maybe 2 amps and some decent speakers
  22. I dont know my MPG, but i ge about 220 miles to a full tank.
  23. I got mine last week. I know a guy who knows a guy....
  24. ahhh yes, i just read up on it. How do you bypass that? is it as simple as just connecting the pipes that are left?
  25. Ahhh, ok, noob question. What is the egr valve and what does removing it do? Was going to remove my AIV valve while i had the plenum off
