Just got off the phone to Adrian flux, best filly comp they could do was £2500 a year, so I've got TPFT, £1704. Still extortionate just because its an import, but its the cheapest i can find. At least I'm insured i suppose

Then you have the cost of changing the engines on top of that, probably another 1500 euro or more, plus your left with an engine with a broken turbo which you wont be able to get rid of. I'd just keep looking, maybe look for one that is mechanically sound, but needs a little cosmetic work??

Thats doesnt matter to me, i'd drive past Zedworld to meet. Would still be better than driving there on my lonesome :D

Today i learnt something new about the 300zx when trying to insure my new import. UK spec 300zx is insurance group 41 Jap spec 300zx is insurance group 46 Now, it might just be me, but i really cant see why? Why should there be 5 groups difference just because its from another country! Its exactly the same car!! I argued this for about an hour with Adrian flux when they told me the underwriters wouldn't touch me because it was a 'fairlady' import! So i got my quote online instead. it did mean canceling my policy (and losing 6 months no claims) and taking out a new policy, but i saved myself £500 on what they were quoting me on a fully comp policy so it worked out better off in the end. Just annoyed about loosing my last 6 months of no claims, makes a difference when your only 22! I've now been driving 5 years, no accidents, with only 2 years no claims because of the bulls*** that comes with insurers!

Vectra_666 has one weakness!

The red zed's still sat outside. But it made more sense for me to buy a Zed in better condition than to "rebuild" the red zed. I'm going to finish spraying the standard wheels black, give if a good clean inside and out then she'll be up for sale. She's pretty mechanically sound, but cosmetically she's seen better days. Not gona be asking much for her, if i see £1000 i'll be happy :)

Its running 0.9 bar, i think any more and it would start causing problems, pinking and such. I dont want to over do it and kill it.

Picked it up this morning! So happy with it!! Can definatley feel the extra horses from the chipped ecu and boost controller. my face hurts from grinning!!! i'll be at Zedworld next saturday to show her off :)

Bought a Super Dragger off Slick.Pete today. Debating whether to buy another and make a dual super dragger. I think it would sound amazing!

I'm glad everyone seems to think it was a good choice :) When i was talking to the fella on the phone he was telling me how surprised he was at how rust free it was. Says its amazingly clean underneath and all original. I'm going with the cash, and dont intend on leaving with it!! :p I'm not sure the area, AL2 postcode. He says its not far from Jct6 M1. I'll be there around 3pm, so if i buy it i could come give you first looksies lol :p
