Had the aircon unit on in my bedroom many times this year try and make sure its down to 20 degrees every nite Nice temp for sleeping.bought it 3 years ago as chalet style houses always get hot upstairs best money ive ever spent no more sleepless sticky nights :cool3::cool3::cool3::cool3:

ALL FIXED today I went to my local breakers armed with a few tools and my broken yellow plastic bit of sh1t after going through many various nissans with no luck I stumbled across a 51 plate nissan micra. Attatched to the back of the drivers door barrel was a metal one which has pretty much similar dimensions to the yellow one ! the metal one is identical in distance from the hole for the door barrel end and the hole for locking rod, but is thinner in design to the plastic one now for the modding 1)The metal part needs to be put onto the end of the locking barrel (the fit is perfect bar its thickness) 2)Next i sourced two copper washers to place ontop of the part to pad out the thickness so there is no gap between it and the retaining c clip that then needs to be put on to hold everything onto the barrel 3)Lastly you need to remove the plastic pink bit that clips the locking rod onto the part and replace it with the yellow plastic one that needs to be removed from the old plastic brocken bit 4) Finally put back in car and all is sweet :sweatdrop: Every thing is now working perfectly but obviously time will tell but I have no reason to believe this wont last for a very long time I have taken pictures and when i get the time i'll post them up rgds Kurt

Hi as the yellow plastic bit that joins the door lock barrel to the locking rod is always breaking has anyone ever found a raplacement from any other nissan model that could be picked up at a breakers ?? thks Kurt

Mate I feel for you.your kids are what matters and all you can do is spend as much time with them as you possibly can . You also need to do what works for you and your kids so try as hard as you can to sort it out. Please remind her that you have sorted this out for them and not her and maybe next time when you need the favour she shouldnt be such an unhelpfull spoilt ***** good luck and do what your heart tells you and your kids will grow up knowing that you are the one that tried your best !! would love too but not sure you would want it ? think it might be a copy even though on the back its stamped momo I know isaac wouldnt knowingly buy crap but looking at it im unsure ? the chrome bits are plastic and its pitted and coming off also to get it off some of the allen screws are already rounded and might have to be drilled out

mines jap aswell so lets forget that plan then bought the car for my 11 year old son who love it but when his moms in it hes relagated to the back whats odd is the front door cards i got with the interior have bet lts on the doors ?

money always talks so looks like ill be stuck with mine but keep me up the front by the way with out making that head swell too much my fav car so far going to smooth mine out before respray.may go for smooth back or 99 spoiler or oem still cant decide if i had a swb would go for smooth back but really need to see 99 spec in the flesh

hi have just replaced the rear side cards from a series 2 which has the slit in the top for the 3 point belt does anyone know wether it is possible to put a 3 point belt in and replace the lap belt ? how hard is it and what would i need? thks kurt

hi every thing i do to the zed seems to solve one problem and create 2 more never known a car like it !! firstly when i got the car the key fob remote would not open and close the doors but you could hear the actuator working yesterday the drivers door would not lock at all with the key so today i took the door cardv off and found the actuator for the alarm had become disconected so no probs put it back on all working with the key fob except the passenger door will lock but not unlock also noticed a metal rod with a yellow plastic bit hanging down the bottom of the door i think this was attached to the back of the door lock barrel and has snaped off ? do you think the central locking actuator on the passenger door is fooked ? as it locks and unlocks direct with the key but will only lock off the alarm fob thks kurt

Had exactly this issue on my silver 996 when someone smashed into the back. Its as already said the paint goes differently onto plastic parts If you look really closely you can see it on brand new cars.It is normally very slight most people would not notice but from now on everyone who has read this thread will try not to look too hard and all will be o.k.:tongue_smilie:
