Not sure if it's the pump or the high pressure hose yet,(or somethin else)gonna have to have a look either tonight or tomorrow. Is it just a case of removing the turbo hoses to get to the pump, or does more stuff need to come off? Such as the radiator and/or the water pipes. Also if it's the high pressure hose any ideas where I can get one from?

Hi guys, took the car for a drive tonight and coming round the last corner to drive up my road and suddenly the power steering just became none existent. Pulled up on the drive and fluid was dripping all over the drive, looked down the road and sure enough there's a trail of fluid leading from where it went all the way to the car. As it was going dark I havnt had chance to to investigate other than a quick look with a torch around the power steering pump, and its covered in fluid. There was no whining or noise from the pump before this happened but I think there might have been a small leak coming from somewhere. I suppose this isn't an easy question to answer only from the information I've given so far but is this Likely to be a shot pump or just a burst pipe? Also if it is the pump is it a easy DIY job? Bugger! I havnt got the old stock filter anymore, and also removed the stock shield as well but only because it was hanging off anyway. The new filter is an HPI one very similar in design to the blitz SUS ones.

how do i adjust the bovs? and what is meant by "the air filters stalling the air" ive just put a new HPI cone filter on, and now i come to think of it, it as started happening since then.

its as i take my foot off the accellorater pedal and onto the brake, the revs go all the way down to zero, the cut out is so smooth i dont notice if the stereos on theres no jerking as it stalls, so the clutch must be down say as im gearing down or coming to a stop at lights.

Hi, just took the zed out for run, drove great pulled realy well, had a great dive until it suddenly cut out! i was was accelorating quite hard but had to brake quite harsh as i was coming to a bend and i felt the steering go stiff, i looked at the clocks and the car had cutt out, it fired up straight away and it was fine again. this has happened a few times now, ive checked the ecu and its showing no codes. could it be a boost leak? any commemnts greatly appreciated cheers Si

cheers guys but Managed to sort it, Yellow = Cont. Blue = Acc I earthed it on an earthing point behind the stereo rather than using the factory stereo earth. I didnt need the leccy aerial wire which i think is black and red because ive de aerialed my zed and didnt need the speaker wires because i reckon it will be easier to run fresh speaker wire.

Hi guys, im just about to swap my original bose headunit, but i know the wiring colours are different for the bose set up(i have the bose speakers with individual amps for each speaker) than they are for the other factory fitted headunits. Ive done searches on various websites but all the wiring diagrams are different to mine. all i need to know is the colour of the constant live, acc, and earth as im running new speaker wire anyway. any help greatly appreciated cheers Si

Hi, my dads primera p12 is idling very lumpy and kicking out lots of blue smoke, ive read on various websites and forums that it could be the piston rings but the car has barely done 40k, plus he rarely brakes the speed limit lol. surely its not the piston rings at such low mileage. does anyone have any ideas. any comments greatly appreciated cheers si

Im about to do this, got rid of the flag pole leccy aerial and smoothed the hole. going to use the rear washer jet hole. does the tailgate have to come off to get the washer jet off?

i gave the wheel a good wiggle while it was jacked up and it seemed very solid had agood look round aswell and couldnt see anything, plus it only had MOT yesterday and has hardly been anywhere since, it seems to have jus come out of the blue.

Hi, finally just got my zed back on the road after 6months, flew through MOT yesterday and i took it for a drive last night and all was well. been out in it tonight and theres a strange noise coming from the near side wheel. the best way i can describe it is that its like a scrape followed by a knock that gets faster as the car speeds up and slows until the car stops. Ive checked around the wheel for any rubbing and cant see anything a miss. Ive jacked the car up and spun the wheel and the sound isnt there. Im completly stuck as to what it could be any help greatly apreciated cheers si

Great stuff, ok so I might aswell ask another quessie while I'm at it lol say I fill a dent, does the whole panel need priming or just the filled area? The cars gonna be resprayed same colour (Metallic grey) by the way. Unfortunatley we only etch metals(using acid(ferric chloride) we make plaques and nameplates. Alot of etched logos you see on glass these days like on pub windows and shops are actualy just vinyl coverings/labels/stickers used to give the effect of etching. So might be worth giving one of the vinyl graffic companys a call.

That's good then, a bit more money saved on the bodyshop fees. cheers mate your advice has been invaluable. Just out of interest what's etch primer?(I know what etching is cos I am actualy an etcher) and when would I use it? Thanks yet again.

Will acrylic primer be ok even if a bodyshop are doing the respray? As i thought most bodyshops used 2k paints. Or are they both compatible with each other?

...also, does the dolphin glaze go straight over the P40 or do I need to put some filler over the P40 first? Cheers
