  1. very nice to,all ways had Kawasaki's had a few zzr's and loved them, also had a few exup's,might treat her to a repaint after the summer:-).
  2. This is the colour we have decided on,looks good weather it looks anything like this when I've finished will be another story?
  3. Ok will do how many coats should it have? Do I wet and dry on easy coat?
  4. Well good couple of days getting the zed ready for paint,all welding and filling done. Now sanding ready to for priming,i have used 1200 sandpaper on old paint to key primer to the paint is this right or do i wet and dry it as well? I know between primer coats i have to wet and dry it using 1200 but do i do this before applying primer? How many coats of primer do i give before top coats and how many top coats would you say i apply? Any advice would be greatly appreciated:-)
  5. Well finished the mods on the old girl:) so much better riding position really pleased with the end result don't think it spoils the bikes looks,just got to get some miles on it now see how much better on a long run.
  6. Bit more done on the swb all fabricating of plates done and welded hate doing this job:( all filled and sanded just got sand the whole car ready for paint,well behind schedule but we always are with these cars so many unforeseen problems.

  12. Welcome to the club mate :-) what happened to Rob? Had a couple of meets with Rob, he organised a dyno day for us had a great time,last I herd he had taken the car of the road to do a few jobs on the car.

Got a lot planed this year with the two zeds,between work and trying to get this things ready time is not on my side:-( but will try to get to some of these shows Rich,the cost of rebuilding two zeds is like having ....keeping two wife's,huge money pits and soaking up time:-),but hopefully will make these:thumbup1:

  20. The bars are the cheapest part to be honest £30 for 22mm low road unbraced bars. Looking forwards to getting it done without the back braking position:-)

Well got to say that after years of riding sports bikes was thinking of trading the old girl in for smoothing like a bandit(more comfortable riding position),but after realisation of getting nothing for it px,thought I will modify my exup,so after doing a bit of research found an engineering company that do a full handle bar raiser kit for the fzr1000,so going down this road so I can keep my old bike :-),anyone done this? I have been Reading the revues and all positive saying fantastic riding position when done,so here a few pics of the strip down read for my new top yolk and bars.

No mate only had it from Andy Isherwood a few months now,turning it in to a track day car,just got it back from jeff who worked his magic on it to bring it back to life:-),now doing body work ready for spray and getting it ready for racing:-),this was how i got it engine stripped and interior stripped,but slowly going back together.
