The treble will still come from the full range 6" you have in the door adding the extra high end driver just lifts the HF up the sound deck so you can hear it better. Bass is omnipresent so it spreads around thats why you onlu here the bass when the house down the road has a party. This is due to the long wave length. HF is a very short wave length so it dose not travel well and is also directional. Hence on large sound systemd you have a horn shape to disperce it in the right directions and to accousticaly amplifie it. So if you lift the hf up the sound deck near to where you here it, it will make the definition better. I hope this makes sence? Allan

Simon you can put some soft dome tweeters higher up the doors by the mirrors. this will rise the sound deck up the car. High frequency is directional and is fireing right in to your legs and getting lost. So bring the high end up the sound deck and you will hear the difference. But what is the point of having all the power with a flexable convertible the Idea of a vert is not power but nice easy crusing with the roof down. So no need for lashings of power.
