Off Roaders
Ok Bri when can I pick it up? :tt2: I think classic range rover is the one I deep down want to go for. My mate has a 200sx and a disco, so for me to have a 300zx and a rangie it will keep the rivalry factor :thumbup1: I did quite a lot of off road driving in an '80s range rover V8 in a previous job and it was good fun, but I guess I had nothing to compare it to.

Dave - it may just be a myth but if you don't ask you never know... some old chap was speaking to a mate of mine about grantham - told him there is (was) an underground tank testing ground, and a car park full of cars from WW2 which is also underground. Unfortunately the bloke has now popped it so cant find any further info. :(

Off Roaders
Was hoping you'd reply Bri... have you got any pics of yours? I'd really want a Rangie your shape over a disco if they are half decent off road. Stripped my mates one back today, got rid of the carpets that had been left in there which seems like a silly idea as they just hold water, theres quite a bit of welding required but he can do it himself so its not such an issue. But I want to try and avoid it on mine if I can, I know the discos suffer quite bad with it.

Cheers mate... What can I say, I take pride in my pics  thought you might, those pictures are about a mile under the town, it was friday night when we went and you could hear the pissheads on the ground above us lol :shifty:

Off Roaders
cheers mate, yeah that disco is very similar to what my mates just bought. I know the SJ's are quite able, I need one that is road legal though as I have no trailer or fields at the back of my house!

Yes mate all mine :) In that last lot that's me in the first picture. It doesn't look real I know lol, but that picture hasn't even been touched by photoshop, just straight from the camera.

Off Roaders
That video is awesome!! As a bit of a beginner, it'll just be some basic off road days, green lane smashing and general messing about. I like the appearance of rough and ready when it comes to off roaders, so lift kit and bigger wheel/tyre combo will be a good start, it'll get bent no doubt so nothing too pretty lol. i've got loads of jeep spares in the garage so that is kind of swaying me a little, but its not the end of the world.

Off Roaders
My mate bought a Land Rover Discovery today, its got a lift kit on, big nobbly tyres etc and its got plenty of off road ability and experience. Its pretty cool but I prefer the looks of the Range Rovers, Grand Cherokees, Pajero/Shoguns. Far nicer inside for a start. Can anyone advise on whether these other models will match the off road performance of the Landy or am I best off getting a Disco myself?

Local hospital A VERY rare original 'Iron Lung' this was a respiratory device as some of you may know. This is one of the early 'Wooden' versions and dates back to the 30s... I've got pictures of me in it but it brings back weird feelings as it really f**ked my head up and the room was spinning LOL Under the streets of Grantham

Might aswell update with some of my 'more recent' pics, although I've not been anywhere for a while, need to get back into it :( M.O.D Pyestock Turbine Test Facility - the film 'Sahara' and Red Dwarf have been filmed here. This shot didn't come out quite as well as expected, its from a high crane at roof level in that particular room, with no access apart from a 3 foot gap. So really is a leap of faith and not many dare to get the snap ;)
