  1. Nice pics Al, the truck is looking very nice indeed :thumbup1: Theres a wind farm not too far from me, I wanted to get the Z upto it for photos but couldn't find a way to get near it! :(
  2. its the perfect summer car, make the most of it! :thumbup1: when I have a kid I'm going teach them to polish my wheels, they are a pain in the arse to do
  3. thanks dave, just wanted someone else's opinion :thumbup1: I'll still keep my eyes peeled for potential issues, but hopefully that was it!
  4. how about swapping the guts? the 200sx doesnt have LSD does it?
  5. I've been looking for potential causes whilst I've been stripping my Z down for the engine swap, the most obvious thing I've found so far - the right hand front wheel nuts were all 'loose'! well not loose exactly but the slightest turn with the wrench and they were free. Would this cause the symptoms I explained? or shall I keep looking lol :whistling:
  6. a TT diff ratio is 3.67, an NA is 4.08 (approx values from memory) my mate thinks his S14a is 4.09 or there abouts, so if it does physically fit it may adversely affect acceleration slightly but will improve top end?
  7. I'm glad this question has come up, my mate has a S14a with a noisy diff and I told him he is welcome to my TT diff if he wants it! he's also trying to find out so hopefully someone will get an answer. :thumbup1:
  8. just resubscribed :thumbup1:
  9. ewwww whats with the paintjob?!
  10. black on black looks like this:
  11. eeek! I'll show my mate the pic and see what he thinks about getting the spacers and bolts for it. I don't want 2 more bits of scrap metal, already got enough of that LOL :(
  12. thanks mate, bolts wouldn't be an issue but what did the spacer blocks look like? I was looking at this pic on that robo site last night, just has the brackets, bolts and washers? were your spacers different?
  13. sell it? :slap: convert it to manual and you will have the ultimate Z and nothing could replace it.
  14. Under the engine section heading:- Faqs relating to the zx300 engine. whoever typed that on a 300zx forum should be slapped. :slap: Can someone sort it please :whistling:
  15. flocking looks great anthony... but yeah please post up some more pics!
  16. bit of a mess mate! makes my rusty breaker look mint!
  17. how much did you pay for the internal bits?
  18. was at work this morning, had a couple of hours on it but now having a lunch break... most things are unbolted, just the underside to do then the engine will be ready to lift out :) Going to leave the gearbox in place this time though, as its already had a conversion from auto to a TT manual box :thumbup1: Will upload some pics in a bit!
  19. theres a site that gonzo showed me which has 1000s of files on, you have to pay to subscribe, OR upload a file of your own which allows you temporary access to download what you want! I'll see if I can find the site again. ;)
  20. bargain! paid £100 for mine and that was cheap. I did have a manual for it, just went to open it and the file doesnt work? I'll have a hunt around the net for it.
  21. awww bless... nice one Daz :thumbup1:
  22. oooh did you? how much did you get it for?:cool2:
  23. I'm going to make the most of the long weekend to give myself a good start on the black Z. Obviously the main reason is to get rid of the slow NA engine... and convert to Twin Turbo power!! :tt1: Over and above what modifications I had in the white Z, it will also now be sporting a lightweight Fidanza flywheel, lightweight crank pulley, Apexi AVCR boost controller, NA rear diff, new exhaust system, japspeed decats, Apexi multichecker to monitor the engine, Apexi super airflow converter, Apexi turbo timer, Apexi rev-speed meter, Greddy boost gauge, HKS oil temp gauge, HKS oil temp gauge, remapped ECU, braided clutch hose.. and probably a couple of other bits I've forgotten about. :chef: So that lot along with the mods that I already had on the white one - Apexi power intake and ARC uprated side mounts with increased airflow mods in and out of 'coolers it should go quite well now! Any guesses on approx BHP?! :confused1: Oh and theres also an aftermarket front bumper and rear spoiler to go on too... Excited? no didn't think so, but I AM!! :tt2:
  24. I'm in the middle of basically reshelling my LWB due to rust, I was going to get a SWB for the rarity factor and base my project on that, but as I plan to keep it indefinately, I have to look at the future and there'll surely be a little 'un around in the not too distant future so must cater for that. Plus I do really like the look of the LWB, shortys seem a bit stumpy lol
