  1. Rang my local Nissan main dealer today for a replacement rear blind. Nearly dropped the phone when I found out the price: £453. To be honest, mind isn't that bad (certainly not bad enough to fork out that kind of money). Just thought I would enquire how much to replace mine as I'm a right spoilt b**tard. Has anyone ever replaced their blind? If so, where did they get it from and how much? Does anyone know if you can buy cheaper from the states? and if so, which company I'm not interested and buying a second hand one as I know it wouldn't be any better than mine. Can any of our traders get them any cheaper, preferably half that price. Cheers Steve
  2. Paul, If your not travelling down in your Zed, I don't mind picking you up and you can travel down in style. PM me your address and I can pick you up. Cheers Steve
  3. Excellent idea Steve
  4. Wheres that at Steve and when's it on?
  5. Hope you've got your old red friend with you by then mate. Steve
  6. Count me in mate Steve

  8. It should be covered by a blanking plate. It's for LHD Indicator stalks. Steve
  9. Chris, Give Peter a shout at PPS. He's got one on order for me, one that works with Hicas. Cheers Steve
  10. Cheers, thats certainly reassuring Steve
  11. Cheers, and thanks for the time Steve
  12. Cheers It seems a lot clearer now. Told you I was no "Mechanic of the year" So What would you recommend: 1. Resistor wire across the Det Sensor 2. Fitting the Greddy Boost Controller, which I'm told will bypass the sensor anyway. Steve
  13. What if the Det Sensor is working fine and the wiring to the ECU is also OK. The Sensor could be telling me I actually have a genuine problem with the engine. Asuming it is working fine, what could the problem be and how can I fix it. Could it me the timing? Steve
  14. I reset the ECU today and it went straight into Safety Boost after half a mile or so (code 34). I cannot fit a chip onto my ECU as it's a series 4 and completely different to the older series 1 or 2 ECU's. I'm buying Macca's old board from his car which is already chipped and fitting that to mine. I've checked it out with ECU guru's at NMGB and they have told me an older 16bit board can go straight into my car. The only difference between the 2 is that mine is a 32 bit board and was only changed for emmissions. Surely if it's keep droppng back into Safety Boost, something must be wrong. I wouldn't have thought the wires on the Det Sensor would be corroded as mine is a very late model. Steve
  15. Checked the car this mornng and it was definately reading code 34. Reset the ECU and then 55 OK. Boost up from 6 to 10psi. After half a mile back into Safety Boost and code 34. How can I fix this problem. Is it OK to fit a resistor across the Det Sensor, or I'm I risking bigger problems by linking it out. My ECU hasn't been chipped yet and I have fitted Apexi BOV's, Divorced downpipes with decatt and Mongoose catback system and Blitz SUS Induction. I've been told the ECU isn't set up for these mods and that is why the car is running lean and into Safety Boost. I'm also about to fit a Greddy ProfecII Boost Controller. Does this controller link out the Det Sensor anyway? If I fit a chipped ECU, will this also fix the problem? I also have a confession to make ~ When I bought the car, I knew very little about them (don't know much more now to be honest) and was running it on 95 octane fuel, for about 1500 miles. Could this have caused damaged to the engine? and could this be the reason why I'm geting code 34. Sorry for 101 questions, just trying to learn as I go along, but hopefully not the hard way. Cheers Steve I'm obviously on Optimax now and have been for about a month
  16. Mark Got mine replaced in February at Peter's. I got my replacement PCV valves and hoses from ZTech, think they were about £65 Drop Baggins a PM, he'll let you know the price. Are you coming up on Sunday? (Stadium Of Light @ 12) Cheers Steve
  17. Hi Mark, We've arranged to meet at Sunderland Stadium Of Light this Sunday at 12. It's been a couple of months since we've had a meet. It may be your last chance for a while, so get yourself up mate Steve
  18. Paul, Is this Sunday still on at the SOL? I'm still up for it, although there doesn't seem to be that much interest. Steve
  19. Is the Sunday not a better day for everyone? We normally meet up on a Sunday anyway
  20. Cheers I'll give it a go at the weekend
  21. Excuse my ignorance but if I find that the problem is code 34, how do I fix it. You'll probably have gathered, I'm no mechanic Cheers Steve
  22. Just fitted my after market Boost gauge (my series 4 hasn't got a stock gauge). Problem is I'm only getting 6.5psi max. My understanding is that stock TT should get between 9~10psi. Any ideas. Chris@GetGreddy reckons it will be in safety boost and I'll need a conzult. Anybody got one up in the NE. And if so, do they know how to sort this problem? If anyone thinks it may be something else, please shout up. I'm getting a Greddy Boost Controller fitted this weekend and was wondering if the Controller may fix the problem, or should I get it sorted before fitting the Boost Controller? Cheers Steve
  23. Oops!! Forgot to get back about the glove box catch. One of Kish's trimmers managed to fix mine. Cheers anyway mate. Keep working on next Sunday Will be good to see you I need to take some more photos of the interior. I had the flash on and it's just blinded everything. Will post some better ones tomorrow when I get in from work Steve
  24. A awful lot more than most people on this forum have paid. Someone the other day (from North Wales I think) was quoting £500 for full retrim. I paid almost that for my drivers seat.
