certainly was, (macca the cheques in the post ;)) if you want it then pm or email me your mobile number and network.
  2. they had the cars remote controlled, a volvo (dunno what model, quite a big one though) and a beamer 5 series, both cars were TOTALLY destroyed, to describe it quickly, the beamers steering wheel was in the back seat, there would have been no survivors.
  3. anyone see 5th gear last night? They crashed 2 cars head on at 60.
  4. rough idle is a common one, a good starting point is to clean EVERY connector you can see with electrical contact cleaner, especially the water temp sensor (the bigger connector). Once this is done, fetch off the 2 vacuum pipes to the throttle bodies, and give em a good clean out, jam the throttle wide open and spray carb cleaner in till the bottle runs out (not quite that much but you get the idea ;)), scrub em till they are clean with a toothbrush. Once this is done, at the back of the intake plenum on the passenger side there is the idle air valve, its difficult to see if you dont know what to look for, but theres a hose with a 90 degree bend going round to it, remove that pipe and spray loads more carb cleaner in there, this is cos the throttle body cleanout lets loads of gunk to flow down into the valve and this can result in a much worse idle problem than you had before. Oh, I almost forgot, disconnect the battery before you do this. When your done put it back together and start it up, it will run as rough as a dog for the first few minutes but it should clear out pretty quick, if the idle falls back down to 500rpm, then on the idle valve there is a screw on the side, give it a couple of turns (whichever way makes it speed up) till its idling about 600-650rpm bottom. Dotn do this with the engine on because the ECU will compensate for you turning the valve, people say you should disconnect the connector on the valve and do it with the engine running but I couldnt be arsed with that so I just turned the engine off, turned it and turned it back on, worked for me. Once you have done all this all *should* be fine. Take it for a drive and when you done it should have sorted itself out enough and the idle should be about 700-750rpm at full temperature, 1000rpm with the a/c on. edit - this isnt very detailed, for more detailed info head over to AndyP's site at http://www.300zx.org.uk . As for the oil pressure, is the pressure high when you start from cold, it will change depending on the viscosity of the oil, ours on 10/40 semi synth goes to about half way on the gauge, when warm it is significantly lower when warm, but as soon as you get some revs on it picks up nicely. You have to remember though, that the gauges on these cars suck really hard, I wouldnt trust them for anything. I think its pretty much normal for that to happen anyway, so long as the oil level is ok I wouldnt worry about it.

the blue looks nicer form the outside, but the interior on the red one looks much better. But tbh i would skip the n/a and go for a twin turbo because boost = :D :D :D :D

hmm, interesting link Jeff The tuner module is prone to failure, giving "no signal" message with signal and/or quality indication bars bouncing randomly on-screen. Tuner modules are available for the DRX100 on an exchange basis. This is definitely a workshop job. Note that this "no signal" message can have other causes occasionally! that is th part which was replaced with an uprated one (presume from another manufacturers box:confused: )

sky boxes are quite possibly the worst electrical products ive ever seen. We've had 3 boxes, the one we have now blew up outaside warranty so paid to have it fixed with uprated parts which will not blow up for no reason. The first one blew up during a storm, when it came back on it wouldnt get any signal, the second one also went during a storm, this time it was plugged in via a surge proof strip, same thing, no signal, the 3rd time it blew up simply after unplugging it and plugging it back in. Sky's excuses about surges just dont wash, the thing is plugged in with a surge protector, and besides that theres tonned of other stuff in the house that doesnt have protection that is not affected.

  11. PTU sounds right, this could cause those problems.
  12. you can have a pressure test done on the cooling system at any good garage, if you're concerned about it then this might be a good idea.
