  1. Because MBC's suck. EBC gives much better control of spool time, spike and creep.
  2. Those things weight a ton, probably pull your rad apart if you attached it through the fins.
  3. Both my 300zx and Silvia do that, fan runs at full blast on a cold start for about 5 seconds before calming down.
  4. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HARDRACE-REAR-UPPER-CAMBER-KIT-Silvia-S13-Fairlady-Z32-Hardened-Rubber-HR6177-R-/271271202694?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f29060f86 Get those ones, Hardrace are good quality and the bushed ones eliminate problems with rose joints.
  5. Definitely does affect the PAS with your standard converter chip, and sends the auto trans out of kilter. Best way I found was to swap resistors on the back of the speedo, get the speed in mph but everything else including the odometer stays as normal in km. I forget how it's done but if anyone is really interested I could take it out and look again.
  6. Got two of those knocking about somewhere. Back in the day you could get those for tonnes of models, don't know if they are still available.
  7. I just bought a BNR32 unit to put in my S15, an affordable 2 way that you can easily live with day to day. Also can easily be overhauled or even upgraded since it's the same basic unit as a Nismo GT.
  8. NA diff is an R200 right, UK spec S14 has an R200 with the same ratio as a TT Z32.
  9. Depends what settings you want to run and how low you are. For a daily driver I would definitely avoid adjustable lower arms, and any spherical bearings really.
  10. Stretched is pretty much the only choice for an 18x12 though, even a 295 will look quite stretched. Going to need some pretty tough arches to fit that much wheel under too!
  11. A cubby hole, this is what I put in. The lack of places to put anything irritated me.
  12. That's polished, not chromed.
  13. Their list prices are always massively inflated, don't get too excited about the discount. I wouldn't put sub-£10 pads on a shopping trolley, never mind a heavy high powered GT. Seen a set of cheapy ECP pads completely faded and on fire after just one run on the evo triangle in a 100hp Focus, not ****ing good. Run a number of pads ranging in price and it's become very obvious to me that you get what you pay for.
  14. Thats normal, they do warm up nice and swiftly.
  15. They certainly did. You can't really count the VIN numbers like that though. There are loads of different prefixes, so it would be 596 of that particular prefix. Different revisions have different prefixes within the number too, different markets have different VIN formats altogether etc etc...
  16. You need adjustable arms for camber on these with multi link, camber plates only work for strut type suspension.
  17. Just get the full DW handling pack, simpler and cheaper that way. http://www.driftworks.com/nissan-200sx-handling-pack-nissan-skyline-r32-gts-t.html They will do a full Z32 kit if you call I'm sure.
  18. Will be from a bad paint job, hardened 2k is not really affected by moisture or anything really aside from strong chemicals. Any pics? Sounds like solvent pop though.
  19. Last year with FJ I paid £180, 25yo, driving 4 years and with a fault claim. I thought it was very good indeed.
  20. That's a lot of drain over that amount of time. Remember, voltage while idle doesn't mean much, when you crank it the volts will drop a lot. I'd say anything less than 12v is pushing your luck and I reckon you need a new battery.
  21. You need to align it on the box then bolt to the flex plate with the box in situ. Never done it on a zed, but done a BMW one and it was a right game even when the engine and box sitting on the floor. Don't envy the task on a 300!
  22. Who told you that? Someone with no experience of them no doubt..
  23. That's a stock type shock with ground control height adjustable spring setup installed. Nothing Tein about it, not that Tein is the be all and end of of suspension anyway.
  24. Mine has to be pushed pretty far back to lock it to the runners, pretty crappy for the rear passengers. It isn't all the way back though, just most of the way.
  25. Was in a mates MX5 just before christmas, decided the flood wasn't too bad, heck we already drove through it the other way once. This happened.. We put a new engine in a couple of days after, and as we speak it is being turbocharged. Every cloud has a silver lining, hey...
