  2. :oops:hi lads , with all my problems i seem to have some thing that hopefully will cure my lack of power , smoke , engine knock (pink) the timing is out by one tooth on all cams , stupid me i timed it up just of the dowls on the timing cover not on the belt , has anyone done this :oops:

  4. Have just rebuilt my engine still a bit tappy on top but i noticed yesturday after a long run , i left it idiling for about 15 mins the passenger side exhaust started giving loads of white smoke i revd it and it cleared but 10 mins later it did the same thing , could it be that turbo

  8. FINALLY GOT THE ZED N THE ROAD BUT BRAKE PEDAL HARD AND NOT REALLY STOPPING , AND ADVICE , ID LIKE TO STAY WITH THE STANDARD CALIPERS FOR THE MOMENT BEST PADS ?? SHOULD I FIT BRAIDED HOSES ??:helpsmilie:
  9. ive the same problem a tappy knock , but im putting it down to puttting a crap 10w 40 oil in from when it was built , their is only 100 miles on the engine so going to try 15w50 and see if this helps , i fitted new bearings and a ground crank , what could my knock be ?????

  11. i went to adjust the timing but the cas would not move , so i removed it and to get it out i gave it a few taps , since i put it back in i have a missfire its like its running on three cylinders two front on right bank and only first on the second left bank please help , every day their is something new

  14. so mine has a manual conversion just adjust the timing to 25 btdc
  15. is their a difference for the auto tt timing is it still15 degrees

  22. :clover:hi lads still having this problem , car starts fine , drives like it down on power , on stationery when i rev it , it backfires , should i check the crank angle sensor could this cause back fire , valve timing 100% any ideas , could it be the two solenoids at the back of the inlet cams , or AFM , showing code 55 :clover:

  25. :helpsmilie::helpsmilie:when i rebuild the engine i mixed the solenoids up, so they are on oposite sides could this cause alack of power , as im getting boost but no increased power its like the solenoids are not advancing the inlrt cams any ideas :helpsmilie::helpsmilie:
