I second what Richard says, after checking numerous Insurance companies the difference in Import and UK price to insure is'nt as much as you would expect. yes, some companies will not insure an Import, and some will charge a rediculous figure, but many were less than 10% higher for an Import.

Congrats on the purchase. The Twin Turbo 300zx is the usual preferred version, but the NA version is a top car in its own right. Power is 220bhp (upgradable to 250-260bhp). 0-60 is in the high 6 seconds I believe. torque is about the same as a stock TT as well, although I expect power delivery would be different. I would want to test drive a an Infinity V8 first, to see if the lazy nature of a big V8 would suit the car.

nice, I was wondering though....with that engine having less power than a stock TT, less tunable and quite a bit heavier....whats the idea behind the implant ?

yes, I believe it around £400'ish to replace for something like a Mongoose 4 exhaust system if you wished, which i thnk it quieter. ..or I imagine somebody may have an old stock system gathering dust somewhere, after upgrading to an aftermarket one.

Wrap around cockpit - What I mean is that the centre console dash tunnel area is big and deep, seperating you from your passenger, whereas most cars only have a handbrake to seperate you. ....and was comparing it to regular cars (saloons, hatchbacks, and most coupes), as well as most jap cars too Impreza, Evo, Skyline, 200sx...etc) But yes, Rx7 and Supra (and maybe others) have the wraparound dashboard style too.

Im a big fan of the 300zx interior....especially compared to many of the other jap alternatives. Love the Wrap around cockpit feeling, you know your sitting in something special.
