  1. Perspective. Relevance. Please seek out the definition of the above and find some from somewhere.
  2. I fear you're right. And it's our generation (30-40 year olds) that have let it happen.
  3. Are you aware that you saying "How are these people ever going to get the message?" says more about you than it does about "them".
  4. I think you misunderstood. I'd imagine that most people likely to spit are under 30 - the point being that younger people are more liable to use/justify violence to "solve a problem" than older people who've matured.
  5. Let me try something..... How many people who think it's OK to slap someone for being spat on are under 30?
  6. Exactly - walk on. But... the law is very picky about what you can and can't say when you spread your views and the manner in which you do it. I bet you any magistrate watching that exact clip would give it 50/50 at best and if pushed for an answer, go slightly against the BNP. Rightly so, imho.
  7. Nothing was taken out of context, groover. I appreciate you're trying to cool down the discussion, as a mod, but so far we've not crossed any lines. Let's hope it continues that way and that we don't have to have the thread closed for us.
  8. I can't believe some of you are so dumb that you can't see the truth of the issue that violence is not the answer to anything. And it's comments like that, Sir Charles, that escalate situations like that needlessly.
  9. And you'd get done for assault. Quite rightly. Being spat on is not a reasonable defence for punching someone, even if it is common assault.
  10. I'm not fussed either. But I'm just trying to say this: do you think the guy would have spat at the BNP bloke if he'd not been so full of bravado and antagonistic in the first place? Would the guy have spat at the Labour candidate? Probably not because the Labour candidate wouldn't have had a van full of thugs and wouldn't have been seeking confrontation with the group of lads. If the BNP guy had been telling me to move on like that, I'd have wanted to clock him/spit on him too (but obviously wouldn't have). Not aimed at StellaZ, just saying: Just because we don't like a certain segment of society who are taking the piss (illegal immigrants/people abusing the handout system), there's no need to assume that all people who look like they could belong to that group are like them and bring those assumptions to the fore when looking at any bad behaviour from them.
  11. Yes, but that's a policeman  A bit of spit only hurts pride, doesn't it? And that's where trouble starts - if one feels the need to punch another to defend something as pointless and intangible as pride/reputation, one is need of some self-control. The simple fact is that the BNP guy needless provoked a group of Asian guys - nothing good was going to happen. I'm still not condoning the spitting, btw.
  12. Being spat on is no reason to hit someone either if you want to go down that route of argument, especially if you're a candidate. He was only doing the "move on" thing because he knew he had back-up. And he instigated the physical stuff. Being squared up to is no reason to touch someone. I'm sure it was on here there was a video if a thug on an estate giving a karateka a mouthful and eventually getting punched after a good five minutes of up-close verbal. The BNP lot were obviously pushing buttons judging by the reaction from the first Asian guy. Hard to say what though without seeing the whole thing.
  13. Yes the guy deserved a slap for spitting, but did no-one hear the provocation at the beginning? "How many is there of us?" said the BNP tosser. He was stirring things - and he pushed the guy first. I'm not in any way condoning the spitting, btw. But I'll bet the BNP lot started it - they obviously went there mob-handed.
  14. I've given up asking questions and trying to work it out. I'm just letting it all wash over me and hoping for the biggest pay-off in the history of television.
  15. I think it's quite funny but it's probably an age thing. Almost, but not quite, as well written as Frasier was. Certainly better than "Joey".
  16. I've see all the great horrors of our time, but still the film that freaked me the most was The Village (M Night Shyamalan).
  17. SDoc100 rules for cleaning crap off. Spray onto a dry car and leave for 30 mins before rinsing off (ignore the directions on the bottle and really leave on for 30 mins). Muc-Off is pretty good but a lot cheaper.
  18. Very kind of you. Roland Rat?
  19. Got it! My Little Pony
