lie to me
Lightman is an excellent, and highly entertaining, character. Yes, there are - but they usually need markers (ie. would need to see known knowns and known unknowns for the particular subject being observed). Body language is pretty much a credible science now, as portrayed in the show.

It was very good. Cumberbatch is a brilliant actor - Freeman was pretty good too. The only thing that upset me was that they changed "a 3 pipe problem" - meaning that he would have had to take enough time to smoke 3 pipes to work out a problem - to a "3 nicotine patch problem". Bloody anti-smoking nazi writers! How dare they mess with great literary characters.

Tesco are great for cheap everyday work suits. Put a snazzier shirt on and you can look good in them too.

top gear not so silly tonite lol
1) The start was crap - all that wheel spinning. 2) He selected a wrong gear 3) Hammerhead was bad 3) His time was faster than Stig's and Barichello's? On his first visit? Nah. Yes, he may be a decent driver but he's also one of those people who media types will fall over themselves to please. I bet it was one of the conditions of his appearance that he went to the top of the board (and he probably didn't know anything about it - I bet his "people" sorted it for him). Or am I just a cynic? She, on the other hand, did look quick.

Who honestly believes that they both beat the lap record and that it wasn't just the BBC being kind to Cruise's ego? Her beating the time I can believe.

Cuba, Varadero.....
Don't buy cigars from people in the street who claim to have a connection with a family member in a factory - they'll be fakes. Cohiba has never sold cigars in glass-top boxes either.

Any Recent Ex-Smokers?
Take up the pipe. Seriously. I kicked a 17 year roll up habit that way. You still get the nicotine through the lining of your mouth and that helps until you learn not to inhale any more. Once you've stopped inhaling, it's easy to quit the nicotine.

if you could be born at anytime
I'd like to have been born in 1930s California so that I could've been a young bloke in the 50/60s Beach Boys/surf scene.

Anyone know anything about Triumph Dolomites?
My dad's mate used to drop us off at Scouts circa 1982 in his Dolomite. All I can really remember is the smell of the vinyl seats and the windows having massive condensation problems whenever the weather turned bad. Chamois sponge is a must.
