ingrown whiskers
Electric razors are bad for giving ingrown hairs.

ingrown whiskers
Have a hot shower (to open pores). Leave face wet. Apply shaving oil to beard/face. This will help the razor glide. Use a damp, not sopping wet, badger brush to apply a large pea-size blob of shaving cream. 'Mr Taylor of Old Bond Street' is very good. Work it in. The badger brush takes care of the exfoliation - you'll have done most of it when you washed in the shower. Use a double edge safety razor (eg. a Merkur http://www.traditionalshaving.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/traditionalshaving/_MER-9033001/268141/Classic-33C-Safety-Razor-Chrome) and shave in a vertical, downwards direction only. Rinse razor frequently as you go. You'll be surprised how little tugging there is compared to a multi-blade cartridge system. Let the weight of the razor do the work - and go carefully. Rinse face in warm/hot water. Lather up face again. You probably won't need to apply any more shaving cream to the brush. Shave in a vertical, upwards-only direction. Rinse face in warm/hot water. Lather up face again. Shave in a horizontal, outwards-only direction. Start in the middle of your 'tache. Rinse face in warm/hot water. Lather up face again. Shave in a horizontal, inwards-only direction. Start over by your ear. Rinse face with cold water (to close pores). Pat face dry with towel. Use a moistened styptic pencil http://www.traditionalshaving.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/traditionalshaving/_CYR-AFT-STY/-/Styptic-Pencil to seal any nicks or cuts. Apply aftershave balm/lotion. And you'll have the smoothest face you've had in years and a massive reduction in ingrown hairs. I've not had a single one since I changed to a safety razor. The above is known as the '4 Pass' system, for obvious reasons. Blades are about 10-50p each depending on what you get and each will last about 2-6 shaves depending on your beard and shaving frequency - much better than £s for a cartridge system. It's a nice little 'ritual' too, if you like that sort of thing. See here for a guide:

ingrown whiskers
Simplest cure - start shaving with a safety razor or straight edge (cut throat).

really awful crash on the M5
It's all about increasing your stopping distance as conditions worsen. 10 times for fog or ice. I wonder how many people left that big a gap.

Renting house as a business?
I don't know much, but if you do it as a legit business, you'll pay corporation tax at a lower rate than income tax.

Traffic Lights and the Law
Yes, it's illegal. You MUST NOT move forward over the white line when the red light is showing. Only go forward when the traffic lights are green if there is room for you to clear the junction safely or you are taking up a position to turn right. If the traffic lights are not working, treat the situation as you would an unmarked junction and proceed with great care. [Laws RTA 1988 sect 36 & TSRGD regs 10 & 36] Emergency vehicle drivers have no right to expect you to move out of the way. Whether you get done or not is at the discretion of the court.

Is an auto TT slower than a manual?
Don't autos have a slightly higher potential top speed in 3rd gear?
